Everything you need for a remote weekend stay. Amazing views, good facilities. Great welcome pack with local information was a nice touch.

The location was excellent. The cottage is in the countryside and the views are lovely. It is very quiet. The road up to the cottage has been paved with tarmac, making it easily accessible. The cottage was clean, well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The information book in the lounge was very helpful and the cottage had everything needed for a holiday. We were delighted with our experience and happily recommend it.

Another couple arrived at the same time and both properties had keys in the door. They were going in to our house. I showed them our email and we got it sorted.

The view from the property was stunning! Sitting on the picnic table outside looking over the view first thing in the morning was excellent. The beds were also comfortable and we both slept well. The host had also very thoughtfully provided a jug of fresh milk in the fridge on arrival, which was very thoughtful. The place was nice and clean when we arrived. The fact that it wasn’t fully carpeted like most places in the UK was also a positive. Host was lovely! Arrival was very easy as the host left the keys in the door for us- couldn’t be easier! Overall layout of the place is perfect for two people.

“Excellent overnight stay in Dufftown.”

My overnight stay at Broomhead Cottage, Dufftown was absolutely delightful and exceeded all expectations! I arrived after a busy day working in the local area, and the cottage was the perfect tranquil haven to unwind. Despite being a short visit, I immediately appreciated the warmth and comfort of the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and felt incredibly inviting. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, I had a fantastic night's sleep – exactly what was needed after a busy day. I especially loved the little touches that made it feel so homely. And the excellent fully equipped Kitchen for cooking. The location is truly special. Nestled away with fantastic views over Dufftown and the Fiddich Valley, it offered a peaceful escape while still being a very convenient drive into town for shops / restaurants etc. Watching the sunset over the hills from the cottage was a real highlight. Communication with the host, was excellent from booking to departure, making the check-in process incredibly smooth. Broomhead Cottage is a real gem. Whether for a quick overnight stop or a longer stay, I wholeheartedly recommend it for its comfort, cleanliness, stunning location, and the general feeling of being a true home away from home. I'll definitely be back!
