“Wonderful stay”

We loved staying at BellaStoria Apartment, it was a great location next to restaurants and bakery’s and transport to the old town. The apartment and balcony was very cute and clean. Also the owners were incredibly helpful and friendly! They definitely went above and beyond to help us. Love this place and would 100% recommend.

“Horrible experience! Never again, I do not reccommend to anyone”

Unfortunately this is very first time I need to share my bad experience. When me, my brother and parents got to the accomodation the first impression was ok, but we suddenly noticed that ants are everywhere especially in the kitchen, so we politely asked the owner to bring something against them. She brought us empty spray can with the words that her kids are allergic or something. OK we managed this, even those ants were everywhere - even on couch, in beds, we couldn´t leave the bread outside because it was immediately full of ants. On the padio there were like at least 9 cats from neighbor (my brother was allergic), but we said, we can handle it. Nobody was cleaning the padio, cats were sitting everywhere their hair were on the table/ desk chair. It was really not nice. But as I said we never complaint.. The reason I decided to write this was after an experience from 3. night, when we were due to this, sitting inside next to the table and playing cards (canasta), we were casually talking, no party, music only very quite (imagine listening radio), as you need to focus. Around 11pm I received message with words "be quite! we have to work at 6:00". I do understand this issue, but do they know that they are renting housing for families on vacation? I can not imagine what would happen if we would really have a party or something. So we turned it off. And went sleep after couple of hours. In the morning I woke up and I saw a message from Booking, that the owner offers us to leave and that they will return the money for the rest of the stay. We were something over 1000km from our home, we stayed 6 nights and she was literally trying to destroy our well deserved vacation. She never came to talk to us or anything,even she lived under us. From the first impression, she looked very nice and polite. This was horrible treating. I don´t know why they are renting that apartment, when the owner expects us to sleep at 23:00. I would never recommend this to anyone.

“A time to remember”

I give this property a 10 out of 10. The room were very spacious and the bed super comfortable. The view of the Gruz Port was romantic at night and the garden was the perfect setting for chilling with a drink in hand! The turtles in the garden were so cute, as well as the cats who were coming to visit us in the morning. We actually feed them so they wee coming back every morning ( I am a cat lover). The owner is very kind and easy going. The house has last generation appliances such as washing machine, dish washer, coffee maker. It is silent at night. City center is 20 mins by bus ( bus station just in front). The port is literally in front of the house and there is also a big supermarket. The only thing I would like to flag is that there are a lot of stairs to do to arrive at the place, which is normal in Dubrovnik. So if you have some disabilities or issues with bones, legs, I would not recommened. By the way this is common in Dubrovnik ( I go back every year there) as all the houses are located on hills, so not a bad thing just making other travelers aware. Also, if you are allergic to mosquitos bites ( as I am ) please remember to apply lotion as the place is in a green space.
