Drake Bay Sunset Lodge it’s located in a family property, surrounded by nature, just 5 minutes walking up the hill overlooking the ocean. Free parking is available down the hill, in front of the beach. The property features ecologically-built wooden bungalows furnished with handmade rustic furniture. All with private bathroom and a balcony. Tours to Corcovado National Park, where you can enjoy the wildlife. You can also go whale and dolphin watching, as well as snorkel and diving at Caño Island. Private activities such as horseback riding tours, kayak tours, Night tours, hike to Rio Claro (ecological reserve), and hike to our private property (waterfalls and wildlife) can be arranged. Drake Bay Airport is 25 minutes away by car, 1 hour boat ride from Sierpe, Osa. San José is approximately 350 km away.

The view is unbelievable!!! Waking up by the birds in the morning 💚 it was magical! There was a restaurant down the steps from the hotel offering tasty vegan options.

“Stunning views, wildlife watching haven”
The view from the room and breakfast area was stunning. The bird life we could see from our balcony was fabulous. The friendly cat. The relaxed atmosphere. The beach was close. The breakfast was lovely. Booking the ferry via Sergios made it a stress fee experience: we got picked up and dropped off and bags were taken up to the room.

Views from the breakfast area are amazing. Bird life from our cabin was lovely. Nice to have a coffee maker, fridge and glassware. Internet was really strong. Your suggestions were excellent.

“Amazing, tropical paradise!”
The views were absolutely amazing, watching the birds in the morning was an absolute joy. The property was very comfortable, close by everything you need. Close to a beach, supermarket, restaurants etc. Also the owner was super helpful with everything, including transport, and booking tours etc.

Amazing ocean view, fantastic cabins that were super clean, comfortable and really let you live the spirit of Costa Rica! We saw toucans, scarlet macaws and probably 10 other species of wildlife just while having breakfast! Even my hard to impress teenage daughter was blown away and sad to leave. The owner was exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and connected with all of the tours (exceptional insect/reptile night tour by Jose Huertas - he took pictures for us that felt National Geographic quality, night time biolumenescent boat ride by Alavaro Pacheco) and booked us for all of the things we wanted to do.

“Hidden gem overlooking Bahia Drake”
Sunset Lodge far exceeded our expectations for this moderately priced accomodation. The view from our casita (room 3) over Drake Bay and the sunset was spectacular. We were surrounded by colourful birds and felt incredibly comfortable in this well-equipped place. Not only was there a coffee machine but also various kitchenware that allowed us to enjoy the tropical fruits on our terrace. Josue is a very friendly, laid back, and helpful host who helped us arrange seamless transportation between Sierpe, Drake Bay, and Sirena Ranger Station in the nearby Corcovado National Park.
