Lovely basic cabin with a balcony overlooking the river and jungle. Nice evening meal at $20. River was low, so no problem getting there. Great swimming spot to cool off in nearby.

You're in the jungle, it's great!

This place was an unforgettable experience! We were amazed by how deeply immersed in the forest it is. Elmer was a fantastic host — he treated us so well. He prepared a delicious dinner using all ingredients from the farm, and took us on a night walk through the forest in search of different creatures, many of which we were lucky to spot. Truly a memorable stay!

It was amazing staying in the jungle just with few people. You have to cross twice a river what was a good adventure for me... Elmar is a very nice guy, he organise everything and prepare food for you, if you like. He is such a good cooker and his night trip in the jungle was one of my highlights. Could recommend and would always come back.

This is one of the hidden gems of Costa Rica, in the jungle at Drake bay Elmer has a beautiful stretch of land where flora and fauna are present in abundance. You feel very close to nature, the tree of 350 years old as the jaw dropping high point of the garden. Elmer goes out of his way to make sure his guests have what they need and he is a very enthusiastic and caring person, you can feel his passion for his place and everything in it. You can taste bananas from his land, banana bread he makes himself and brew a cup of tea with freshly picked ginger and kurkuma from the garden. From taking a hike to the waterfall to swim in the river and relaxing in the common area, everything is right there to have a relaxing time in the middle of the jungle. The bed we had was comfortable, the toilet and showers, which are shared, clean and the kitchen, also shared, has everything you need to cook your meals. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for everything Elmer!

“Why go to Corcovado if you can see so many animals without leaving your bungalow!”

In the middle of the forest in walkable distance to town you find Rio Agujitas Eco lodge and farm. Watching animals (Tapir!) right from the balcony of your bungalow - ask for Morpho bungalow, that's where the Tapir goes down to the river, right past your terrace. Besides being a GREAT cook the owner Elmer also knows a LOT about the flora and fauna and gives night tours. He is also giving gastronomic tours and we were the first guests in his new restaurant. In every corner of the farm you feel the love and passion, the dedication and devotion to his surroundings. Native of BAHIA DRAKE he's so proud to share with you what his place has to offer. In the morning you see the Morphos flying by in couples, just above the river. At night the moon lights the trees, quite mystically. And yes, it is definitely very romantic! Speaking of the river. How about taking your morning bath down by the natural pools in the river? Lots of good trails that you can walk all by yourself. Also to a waterfall 40 minutes up river. Yes, a quite remarkable and unforgettable experience. Warning: bring lots of insect repellent!!

Everything. The place is like a paradise garden. Elmer is also a fantastic cook, dinner was the best rocks food I had in Costa Rica. Make sure to arrive before night fall, this way it's easier to find the way

We enjoyed our stay a lot. It was a unique experience to sleep in the middle of the jungle. Elmer and his brother were really nice and made us feel at home. The food is incredible!

Great location in the middle of the jungle, attentive host - when I couldn't get to the hostel due to the rain, he let me stay in another room in town (which even was an upgrade to the one I booked)

For us the location was rather inconvenient. We took the afternoon boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay. The Farm is located up the hill, quite deep in the forest. We reached just before it got dark. To get there one has to cross two creeks with the water up to the thigh, while not knowing what creatures may lurk in the water.

The hosts, food and location are great! The location is a bit remote and getting there is a little adventure, but I loved it. You will have a full jungle experience when you get there. They have some additional trails you can hike and the tours they offered are great too.

“Awesome stay in the jungle”

Beautiful jungle surroundings! Perfect for exploring birds, animals and plants! Great waterfall trail. Very much enjoyed our tours booked through the hostel. Wilbert was very accomodating!

you really are in the middle of the jungle but in the best way! The whole stay is an adventure and the property is beautiful! Definitely worth a visit
