“Wonderful stay”

Location is quite isolated but the setting is beautiful with stunning views over the rain forest to the Ocean. Just a short walk down to some very nice beaches with a trail which takes you on a fairly long walk to Drake Bay. Amazing variety of wildlife around the lodge and the surrounding area. Staff were excellent.

The location is excellent, you can see so many birds flying around the terrace and the beach is only short walk away. There is a beautiful path along the coast and you can hike there alone.

Amazing staff, very kind, helpful and organized, taking care of everything. They also helped to coordinate shuttles and pick-up for the tours we booked, so for all trips we were picked up directly at the beach at 10 minutes walking distance. Best location of all our stays in Costa Rica. Beautiful nature and view of the sea.

“One of the best places ever”

One of the best places we ever stayed at! The bungalows with sea view are fantastic - you are surrounded by wonderfull rain forest, toucans, aras, monkeys, coatis, the Pacific ocean - everything you need. The bungalows are very modern, nearly new and superclean, the view from the balcony is so great! The staff is very friendly and breakfast + food are also great. You reach the beach in only a 5 minutes walk, the ocean is great, you can swim there. We went to Punta Marenco by car (normally you easily go there by boat) - by car you DEFINITELY need a huge 4 x 4 because you have to cross a river and the pavel road is a real adventure. We would definitely come back to Punta Marenco Lodge and would stay there much longer ☀️☀️☀️

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The hotel has an amazing view and the food was very good. There's a lot of wild life around the hotel. The experience was incredible.

Wonderful Staff Location Food

“What a location!!!”

The location of this place is second to none. It is so remote and so beautiful. You basically have your own private beach at Punta Marenco. But equally this means it's very very very difficult to get to by road. If you can get a boat from Sierpe to here then 100% do that. We drove and it took 3 hours to drive 60km - the roads are that bad in places. That's not to say it's not doable but if you are doing, don't skimp on the 4x4 drive. Get the most powerful 4x4 you can. Equally, part of the charm of this place is how hard it is to get to, and therefore how pristine it remains. The staff were excellent. Esteban in particular went enormous lengths to make sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, and that all our questions were answered. This place is so special with so much wildlife easily viewable - you could see whales swimming by from breakfast.

The view was amazing and the staff are wonderful.

“Magical place”

The location is absolutely fantastic. Being situated within a natural reserve, you can enjoy watching a variety of birds while having breakfast (the hotel’s breakfast is excellent). Additionally, you can visit multiple beaches that are peaceful and uncrowded. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, making the experience even better.

Awesome staff. They really took good care of us. Strongly recommend. Lots of birds in the yard.

“A beautiful place to relax and walk the Drake Bay coast.”

The location was great, right on the coast with crashing waves to listen to at night. It’s close to pristine forest so lots of birds and monkeys. Really good food (similar price to restaurants), wonderful friendly staff. We had a superior bungalow facing the sea which was very clean and a comfortable bed. We were collected from the beach below the lodge for the Isla de Caño tour.

The lodge has a great location. We could see a passing whale and its calf. The rooms are clean and were cleaned every day. The food in the restaurant was good, staff were friendly and helpful.

“Peaceful hideaway on OSA peninsula”

Beautiful location a short boat ride away from the main Drake Bay hotels etc. The central cabana with bar / restaurant was a great place to hang out and let the world slide on by. Food was good and the restaurant staff were a credit to the place.
