“Perfect place”

Playa Ganadito Ecolodge is a paradise. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay at lease a week there!

“Exceptional stay, in exceptional location with exceptional hosts”

We spend three nights in this little paradise and absolutely loved it. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, helpful and attentive and did everything to make our stay special and comfortable. We highly recommend renting their little canoe for a peaceful river journey with close up wildlife. We could not have wished for a better stay! Go ahead and book it!

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this ecolodge — a true slice of paradise and the perfect escape from everyday life. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely immersed in nature and instantly relaxed. Nicole and Aaron are exceptional hosts: warm, welcoming, incredibly helpful, and they genuinely go above and beyond to make your stay special. They organised everything seamlessly for us, including our tours (the Sirena day trip and snorkelling at Caño Island — both were absolutely incredible), our transfers, and the most delicious breakfasts each morning (which they did despite one or two very early starts). Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, which made the whole experience effortless and even more enjoyable. We also had a couple of dinners at the lodge for an additional cost, but they were more than worth it — Nicole and Aaron are fantastic cooks, and the guacamole deserves a special mention! On our first day, they took us on a very relaxing sunset canoe trip from the lodge (a small extra charge), and it was the perfect start to our two-week holiday — we would 100% recommend it. On our final day, they showed us the turtle sanctuary they started a few years ago, which has been incredibly successful and was truly inspiring to see.

“A truly unique, raw and real Costa Rican jungle experience”

Our hosts Aharon adn Nicole went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and draw us into the ethos of this special Eco lodge. Staying here feel truly special - totally remote, right in the jungle, disconnected from the world.

“Fun experience and delicious breakfast!”

Fun lodge right in front of the beach. It was an experience sleeping without windows as well, as the lodge doesn’t have any. The hosts are very kind and assist you anytime during your stay. Breakfast is included and is honestly delicious! Room facilities are great!

The accommodation is located at a unique place, totally calm and aside of the crowds! The drive is adventurous, quite bumpy and the place is not so easy to find, but it was worth it (and in dry season the crossing of the river was not an issue). You can hear the sounds of the jungle and have the sea one minute away. The hosts were really friendly and served breakfast at any time requested (even at 5:30 in the morning).

Amazing private place, with the beach some meters away. Beautiful garden! We could listen the waves at night and the birds in the morning, it was an authentic experience in Costa Rica. The staff was very nice with us. Nice open space kitchen.

Best place ever, so remote. Song of ocean, monkeys, aras on place, natural klima from the ocean (wind). We had a Trip to the park (50min drive) Aaron wake up at 4.30, made us a breakfast (he even drive in front of us, so we. Didnt have to look where to go) .. We were with 3 year old. And they let us use the kitchen, and fridge. Shop wos 10min drive away. I would like to stay longer. Thank you so mutch!

“Perfect place to stay while visiting Drake's Bay.”

The cabins are simple but clean and appointed very nicely. The breakfast was an abundance of fresh fruits, eggs, and bread. The place is family owned and I can see the hard work that they have put into the cabins. They are located very close to the beach so you will hear the ocean waves as you sleep. They are a short drive away from Drake's Bay but to not stay in tourist central is so worth it.

“A beautiful tucked away getaway”

This place is stunning. It's so remote that you have the entire beach to yourself. The huts are beautiful and well looked after. The hosts always ask what time you would like your breakfast and a lovely breakfast was always made on time, even at 5am when needed! Highly recommended this hotel if you are looking for peace and quiet, with a beautiful beach to watch Parrots and Halloween crabs for. 10/10

“Very isolated but lovely staff”

Lovely staff will bend over backwards to help you. There are only 2 cabanas presently so it’s very quiet and the breakfast was exceptional. Clean and new.

“Lodge in the middle of the forest”

The location of the lodges is amazing! You are basically alone in the middle of the forest and have the whole beach to yourself. In the night you hear the sounds of the waves (which can get pretty loud) and will be woken by howler monkeys. It is a very simple lodge but a great experience and surprisingly few insects in the room. Odir texted me a night before to assist with transportaton to and from Drake Bay. He made a reservation on the ferry and also organized a Taxi for us. There is only one restaurant close by (walking distance), but the food was really good.

“Stunning location but communication could be improved”

Amazing stay by the perfect beach, where you can enjoy the sunset from the porch of a nice bungalow, and then fall asleep listening to the waves rolling in along with the sounds of the jungle behind the property. We were lycky to arrive just before the season ended (early January), so our host took us to the sea turtle conservation project further up the beach, where a few of the newly hatched turtles were released into the ocean.
