Very friendl staff - took care of our little family with a 4 year old and my wife with some food restrictions as best as they could The place is awesome - very much in nature so no problem that there is no hot shower 😉

The location of life for life is a bit far out but I LOVED that part! It is secluded, gorgeous, with tons of trails in the area to walk and explore the beach and jungle.

“Basic but amazing stay”

This is a great spot if you enjoy nature. The property has a lot of wildlife and offers amazing sunset views. The facilities are simple/basic, but everything was clean and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well. Big shout out to the staff for being so nice. I also really enjoyed the meals provided. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all tasty.

“Living in the wild”

Boat ride to the San Josecito beach is a great experience. Also, location of the hostel is amazing and the amount of animals that you can see everyday is basically like in the national park, monkey sounds will wake you up in the morning. Hostel is just in front of the wild beach which is amazing and the best sunset you can see. Also, there are two wild hike trails through the jungle.

This is a truly unique setting, and a beautiful site. The owners are very kind and make fantastic food!

“Amazing stay, I recommend!”

It was one of my most amazing stay! The place is perfect in the middle of nowhere, you can walk around, see many macaws, cappuccino monkeys, sometimes hear hawler monkeys, coaties and many others things if your attentive! The sunset is incredible, the hostel is very clean all the time, the hammock area is incredible too with a view on the sea, there is a kitchen if you want to cook but also their restaurant. The vibe and the people that stayed also here were super nice which makes me stay longer ans longer. The staff welcomed me when I arrived by boat and showed me the way to the hostel, but also when I left someone went with me! I definitively recommend it! If you want to cook, bring all your food before coming there as there is no supermarket or you’ll have to hitchhike to another village.

Great location! Lots of animals in the garden. Fantastic atmosphere. If we ever go to Costa Rica again, we will stay longer here.

this place is wonderful in every way - people, location, food, wildlife, beach, jungle! i would love to go back very soon. Surely you have to be in for a wild adventure, its a camping hostel, so do not expect luxurious amenities or maximum confort. best place to be in drake bay!

I never expected to rate a super simple accommodation with a snake in a room this high - but the people and their hospitality, in combination with the destination were absolutely amazing. We felt amazing!
