Awesome location nested in the rainforest next to the beach. Great views and athmosphere.

The lodge is very beautiful and located in the middle of the jungle. We saw maccaws, toucans, monkeys from the terrace of our tent and it was not just luck, to see Scarlett maccaws is practically a guaranteed experience. We stayed in the tent for 4 nights, it was very comfortable. The lodge is located in the middle of the beach trail, so it was also a nice hiking experience. The host Emily is another reason to visit the lodge, she helped with everything: helping with transportation, tours, hiking trails, everything we asked. She was very proactive as well. We enjoyed her hospitality and would definitely come back! And dinners were the best in Costa Rica!

The staff were fantastic, especially Emily who managed everything so calmly. The food was extremely good, we had a wonderful New Year's BBQ. The location is also wonderful, you can walk to many secluded beaches /coves from the hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Las Caletas Lodge over New Years 2025-2026. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful and the facilities were fantastic. The lodge itself is set in the most beautiful location along the Drake Bay Hiking Trail where you can easily see monkeys running around on the roofs - we even saw a sloth down on the local beach. Honestly, it couldn’t have been a more magical way to end 2025 and our honeymoon. And the food was fantastic too. Can’t recommend enough!!

“Amazing loacation”

The location is amazing as well as the views to the ocean. The local beach las Caletas is a great beach where to spend the day. The room was spacious we had the duplex, it has also a balcony with an hammock.

Very nice staff. Excellent food, next level of Costarican traditional food.

“Paradise on earth!”

Arrival in paradise by boat! It's a great property, with great staff and superb food! Jolanda also helped out with tour bookings. The beach in front is already beautiful, but within a few minutes (up to a few hours) there are many more beautiful beaches. It's secluded, but beautiful. Just don't not expect luxury such as A/C.

“A juwel for nature lovers close to Corcovado National Park”

The lodge is located conveniently one hour by boat from Sierpe and another hour by boat to the Sirena Ranger Station in Corcovado National Park. From the terrace of the main building and the beautiful garden you have a fantastic view of the ocean. You can watch monkeys and several kinds of birds directly in front of your door. The owner Jolanda, the host Emily and the whole team is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are really tasty and the menu offers a very good choice.

“Brilliant”

Setting was stunning. Fantastic views. Wonderful for bird spotting. Lovely beach which the kids loved playing on. The sea can be a bit rough at times so they needed supervising in the sea but it was also great fun to jump in the waves. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was the best we'd had in our two week trip to Costa Rica - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place

It's an amazing location in the center of the nature. Our special location was the tent where we could sleep outside and felt free. We watched the tukan and other animals from the tent. Everything is perfect organised. And Jolanda is an amazing woman who gave us a warm welcome.

“Perfect stay by the ocean for nature discovery”

Beautiful lodge ideally located for nature observation. We saw right from the long chairs monkeys, macaws, countless of bird species, and even a marsupial. Sunset time is a daily live nature show… Jolanda is very responsive and full of advices to plan ahead tours and activities. She recommended a local agency for national park exploration and snorkelling that turned out to be very efficient and professional, our guide was a local nature expert, highly recommended. Onsite the place is absolutely well run, from the moment we arrived our luggage was being taken care of, rooms were ready, food was fantastic, nothing else to do than relax and enjoy nature.

“Amazing”

Lodge was so nice, we had the honeymoon suite at the top of the gardens which was very private. Breakfast and evening meals were of high quality and tasty. Loved the walking along the beaches in the area which was just like an unspoiled paradise.

“Wildlife heaven”

The location; staff; and food were all the best we have ever had. It felt like a big family with Myra looking after us all. The wildlife comes to you in this remote location, we even saw whales from the restaurant. It's a real treat to be served good quality food every day and as we all ate the evening meal together there was a good atmosphere and you get to know the other guests. We stayed for 10 nights and could have stayed longer, the hardest place to leave. Thank you Myra and the team for an experience we'll never forget. Paul and Jane

“Paradise in the jungle”

Incredible stay. Las Caletas lodge is in the middle on nature, only reachable by boat. We stayed in one of the bungalow (all with ocean view), made of typical wood and nicely furnished. Falling asleep with the ocean sound and waking up finding toucans and blue Macao outside your balcony is priceless. The lodge offer dinner and lunch in the amazing restaurant (food is great!). On top, staff is super king and open to help you for anything you need.

Outstandingly beautiful location. Stunning views. Lots of wonderful birds, monkeys and a sloth in a tree in the garden. A beach at the bottom of the garden! Lovely walks along the sea path either side of the hotel.
