Amazing staff, who were so helpful, if you book tours through them they will drop you off in the morning to the beach and pick you up

“Lovely Jacamar Corcovado”

Lovely big room - down 2 external flights of stairs. No balcony but good size terrace & felt quiet and safe. Karen is extremely helpful and booked an overnight tour of the Corcovado rainforest plus a trip to Cano Island. Breakfast is good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

“Great accommodation in Drake Bay”

Very clean and comfortable accommodation with large beds and generous room sizes. The outdoor private balcony was a lovely place to relax during the day and in the evening. The accommodation is walking distance to the beach and most restaurants.

“Great stay!”

The staff was very friendly and we were quite happy with all the facilities. Our room was clean when we arrived and cleaned during our stay as well. We also had breakfast at the hotel a few times and it was amazing every time. Just pass along wich option you want he day before, and they started to prepare it when you arrived at their restaurant the next morning.

Karen was very helpful and even helped us via WhatsApp after she had gone home for the night. She also organised a free taxi from the boat as it is up a steep hill. View was very good and we liked the balcony

“The lack of hospitality and concern for our experience was quite disappointing”

The location of the hotel was great. The room was spacious with a nice little shaded porch.

Great location to boat tour and restaurants. Room was big and beds comfortable. Balcony overlooks garden. Transportation to dock if arriving via boat is available. Very nice receptionist.

“Amazing stay”

Very comfortable room with a large bed and a very nice balcony . We could hear the birds all the time . The decoration was typical . And well located . The staff especially Margaux were very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay here, and Drake bay offers much too see and do. We reserved our trips from this hotel and it was a great choice - all the trips were well planed and they offer a ride from the hotel to the beach. Karen was really helpful, she answered all our questions and helped us choose the best trips.

“A home in Drake’s Bsy”

The property is in an excellent location. I loved the fact that I could book all my activities through it. We were picked up and dropped off to all the activities . Karen, the person who runs it, does an amazing job to keep the guests comfortable and happy.

Very nice and comfortable room, great breakfast, fast laundry service. Also, you can take water from the reception (since the tap water is not drinkable). Great service! This was the best place we stayed in in Costa Rica.

1- Dilan working in the reception/office was very friendly and helpful, providing information about hotel services, trails, tours, animals, etc. 2- We were impressed by the good facilities and comfort of the hotel. 3- Nice bed. 4- Nice balcony. 5- Close proximity to the local bakery, which is open from very early hours. 6- Proximity to the beach and trails. 7- Many tours start at a walking distance. 8- Cool animals to see and photograph nearby.

Lovely spacious room, nicely clean and decorated well. Dylan was friendly and very helpful answering our questions about Drake Bay, tours and generally the local area.

“Nice stay in Drake Bay, very conveniently located”

Hotel Jacamar was a nice stay and good value for money. The location is great and the rooms are spacious and clean and well equipped. There is no tv in the room, but frankly you don’t need it as there is so much beautiful wildlife to observe right from the porch. We appreciated the gated parking for our rental car and they can organize for you to have an early breakfast if you’re going to Corocovado NP and head out early with the tour boat.

“Beautiful little place”

I loved my stay at Jacamar. All the plants on the property are very pretty. My room was spacious and clean. The laundry facilities were especially welcomed. The staff on reception was very helpful, always on hand via whatsapp to answer any questions or help. It is located in the town so you are close to restaurants/shops. The cold filtered water in reception was appreciated.

“Great place to explore Drake Bay from”

The room was spacious, well airconditioned and with a beautiful private balcony with a view of many trees (and birds). The breakfast is quite good and can be arranged for very early in the morning. The staff has been super helpful with arranging tours and picking us up and dropping us off at the boat.
