“Lovely hotel in the heart of Drake Bay.”

Very comfortable, perfect location to explore Drake Bay on foot. Staff were very helpful and put themselves out to help. The swimming pool was a great area to cool off and relax after a day of adventure. The free coffee bar by the rooms was a brilliant.

The pool was great and the surroundings were green and peaceful. The room and bed were comfy and fully equipped.

We loved the communal areas , the hammocks covered terrace and pool .The room was comfortable and had a great balcony with a view of jungle and sea in the distance . We upgraded from the budget room which was gloomy and had a window that looked out onto a corridor

Beautifully appointed and spotless room in a gorgeous setting with great pool and terraces. Fabulous huge picture windows to view the spectacular wildlife from. 4 Toucans sat in the tree literally outside our window!

We had a room upgrade upon arrival, which made our stay much more comfortable! Room was huge, super comfy bed and a very good shower too. We had a nice balcony with a great view over the bay. Breakfast was also really good and they are flexible to book it early on, so you can still eat before leaving for the tours. There's also a good parking lot, which they let us use even after check-out (since we took a tour to Corcovado).

I really want to rate this place more but can’t sadly . Lovely large aircon family room with great views of local birds and easy to get to restaurants / cafes . Lovely pool , BUT … the dogs next door , bark all night and noisy music from neighbours . Walls are so thin , you hear everything even through earplugs. We had 4 nights and some very early starts with tours , sadly we were all sleep deprived which partly ruined our time there. Once in a lifetime holiday so this was a shame. If I did it again, I would stay out of town in one of the lodges .

“Surprisingly Great Value in Drake Bay”

Compared to other places we stayed in Costa Rica, this hotel offered insanely good value for money. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. We even spotted toucans twice from our shower window—can’t beat that kind of wildlife viewing! The staff was kind, and the pool was a welcome alternative to the beach after a long day. The patio area with two hammocks quickly became our go-to chill zone. Everything you need is within a 5-minute walk, and there’s a large, accessible parking lot if you’re driving. We also used the laundry service at $6/kg, which was very affordable compared to more touristy areas. The power went out twice for half-days, but that’s common in the area—and honestly, a surprise digital detox did us good. Breakfast felt a bit overpriced for what you get, but with limited nearby options, we stuck with it—and the woman serving it was always lovely. If we return to Drake Bay (and we really hope we do!), we’d happily stay here again.

Really recommend staying here during your trip to Drake Bay. Rooms are massive, clean and have everything you need. On site breakfast is wonderful and the staff are great. You’ll get picked up and dropped off to the boats which is a great touch - really recommend!
