The hotel is in the middle of nature and has an open shower which is really cool. The staff are super friendly and they have cute dogs and cats laying around!

Very well organised. Very good food including freshly beaked bread and cookies/cakes backed daily. Very friendly helpful staff. Family atmosphere with staff and guests. Surrounded by nature with so may birds. Lovely viewing platform with telescopes. Each cabin positioned for privacy and nature views.

This was the best stay we had in Costa Rica so far. Emilio, Johnny and the team are wonderful and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. We were able to catch birds flying and sitting on trees from the main reception/common area (which was very well designed to overlook the whole area), the cabins and when walking around the property. It is located outside of Drake Bay, 20min by foot. The best walk/hike we did was to the beach of Cocalito where we had the beach for ourselves for a while.

Emilio was so kind and attentive from the first day of booking to the last day of our stay. The place itself is magical, we felt so at peace here surrounded by nature. I loved hanging on their terrace and spotting numerous birds. Bed was super comfortable.

Finca Maresia is truly a gem and we are so happy we have booked there. Miguel is friendly and always available to help you out. Everything is arranged based on your needs or on your excursions timings. The property is wonderful, you are really immerse in the beautiful nature of Costa Rica.

We liked everything! Miguel, Johnny and the Crew are very friendly, helpful and nice to be around. They answer every question. If you want they Book you tours and organize everything you need (you don‘t have to book your tours before you arrive). The place is wonderful. You see and hear many birds and if you‘re lucky other animals. The meals are very fine :) we recommend breakfeast and dinner at Finca Maresia. We stayed 4 nights, if we had more time during our trip, we‘d love to stay even longer. @finca Maresia: Muchas gracias & pura vida 🙂

“A fabulous taste of Costa Rica”

Lovely, large lounge area with free coffee and an honesty bar - great for hanging about between activities. And the best bird watching from the garden and balcony. Run with great attention to details by people who really cared.

We got an outstanding warmhearted service which we never had during 4 weeks of travelling anywhere else. Started with a very lovely greeting from Jonny with an upgrade cause of low season, and a great explanation of the place and the room (for the ladies the luggage is caried 😊). We loved every single detail in this place, the public terrace from where you have an outstanding view over the lovely garden where often tucans and other birds can be seen and where you can have a free coffee any time and relax, or your own Balcony where can enjoy in the hammocks. We especially loved the dogs the Grandpa Simba and the cuddly Greta ❤️ Special thanks goes out to Emilio, who was around for any problem for us solving it with his spanish friendly smile, without taking extra money and seeing it as a kind of service just to make his guests happy. We felt like being surrounded by friends not just only in a resort. Don't book anywhere else just go to that special place and you will leave with a big smile. This is what we were searching for 🙏

One of our favorite places we stayed in Costa Rica! A truly amazing hotel, with exceptional service, warm people, delicious food and views you cannot beat! We chose the superior deluxe room which we highly recommend. Comfortable beds, spotless, and an open air shower looking straight to the jungle. The views from the main area were also spectacular! Miguel and his team were very kind and helpful. They helped with everything! We had a great experience and we extended our stay by two nights as we couldn’t leave :) Oh, the food also was amazing! Highly recommended! Just book it :) Thank you to the whole team!!

“Exceptional | Unique | Paradise”

There are many reasons that makes this place so special and exceptional but it all starts with the hospitality of Emilio and Tony and how they pay attention to every little detail to make your stay amazing. The place is gorgeous - it’s like a paradise, where you can relax listening and watching different animals while enjoying a homemade cookies on the terrace. It’s also beautifully designed and very functional. We were supposed to stay for 1 day but extended the stay for few more days and honestly, Finaca Maresia is one of the reasons why this part of Costa Rica was the one we loved the most during our trip. Thank you for everything! :)

“amazing!!”

The hotel is isolated, so you only hear the sounds of the jungle there. you can see a lot of birds right outside of the room!! the room is very comfortable! the staff made our stay unforgettable - they helped us organize the tours in Corcovado National Park and Isla del Cano. they would organize the times for breakfast, departure from the hotel, pick us up in the end of the tours, the boat shuttles, so we could just enjoy and don’t have to think about any logistics at all. I highly recommend and I’ll be back!

“Gorgeous setting and really kind staff”

We loved this hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are nicely designed and comfortable. The location is great and near the beach and restaurants. The staff are all so kind and can book your tours for you. Johnny in particular was so welcoming and kind and made us feel so at home. We ate dinners at the hotel which were delicious and felt like a nice home cooked meal.

We had a great time in this wonderful finca. The surroundings are beautiful, the food is nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for organizing all the amazing tours (snorkeling and Corcovado hikes) and for the shuttle service to the port. We hope to come back some time.

“Best hotel ever”

This place is amazing. Felt like home. The people, the birds, dinner & breakfast, the rooms, everything is amazing. They helped us with our tours, brought us to our tours with the taxi. Can’t recommend it enough.
