Everything!

Staying in nature is really amazing experience and host was extremely nice. The location was great, very close to the Corcovado tour start on the beach. We came with a car and you definitely need a 4x4 for the roads to the Drake Bay.

Loved the property, very convenient location, super clean in the middle of green garden. We booked last minute but Nelson was super friendly, communication was very easy as well. One of the best cabanas we stayed at in Costa Rica.

Nelson was a superb host. He booked us onto the ferry across from Sierpe and back and arranged for a taxi to take us too and from the ferry. Throughout our stay he kept in touch to ask if there was anything we needed and the property was cleaned for us during our 5 night stay which was a lovely bonus. He recommended local walks and tours which was so helpful. The hammock was lovely to relax in, the balconies lovely and peaceful to sit on and watch the wildlife and listen to the birds. A beautiful location. The property had everything we needed and was really comfortable, although we went at a very hot time, so was very warm.

Nelson was an excellent host and really friendly and extremely helpful. The room has all the facilities you need and the lack of air conditioning was not really a problem. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Drake Bay and wished I had spent longer staying there during my time in Costa Rica

“Great stay for Drake Bay and Corcovado”

Nelson gives great advice Location just outside town. So quiet and a 5 minute walk into the small town Great views

We booked this stay on very short notice. At 5.30pm the host responded immediatly and said we were welcome. They prepared the room right away. The couple is so friendly and helpful! Our bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned whenever we asked. We could make full use of the kitchen. The place was quiet and there was aguti's roaming the garden. 1.5k walk trough town to the beach. Very good!

“Lovely cabin with great hosts”

We liked our stay at Drake Lapas very much! We were met at the ferry and shown to our cabin, which was just beautiful. It contained everything we needed for our stay. Nelson and Ania were lovely hosts, with very useful tips (made our stay in Drake Bay even better). The location was convenient too, close to a supermarket, 5 minutes from good restaurants, 10 minutes from the beach.

We had a lovely stay in the "Bungalow with a fan", Nelson and his wife were very helpful and gave us goos tips. The offer a laundry service, which is very convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped and very practical.

“I loved it”

It is in a nice quiet location, but an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The hosts, Nelson and Annia, were the best I've had in Costa Rica.

Great host

A nice cabin right in the jungle and perfectly located for exploring Corcovado

I think this is a perfect place to stay in bahia drake. The house was independent from the main building, had 2 balconies, everything you need to cook, and was very quiet at night. You are only 10min walking from the beach. The owner was kind and help any time you need. I would definitely recommend this place.

Most amazing host i ever had. Thry are so helpful They even help me with a lokal problem after i check out. The house is nice and clean and very love noises from the surrounding area, nice garden View

“property has been put together insensitively and on a very tight budget”

This property is self catering. Location better than most as a bit off the main road avoiding some of the awful dust generated by vehicles, but did not escape it totally, as everything had a layer of dust. Quiet and fans in bedrooms adequate.

“A great value for a stay in Drake Bay”

This was a very clean, comfortable and roomy apartment, in a beautiful spot. It had rustic charm, and the family who runs it is very nice. The owner, Nelson, speaks English and was very helpful to us in booking the ferry from Sierpe, a tour of Corcovado, and a taxi to catch the return ferry. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk down to the beach, and we did a hike along the Drake trail to another beach, Cocolito, and beyond, that was really nice. The trail actually goes all the way to Playa San Josecito. You can arrange to get a boat ride over there, too, from one of the people in town. And there are kayaks to rent at the town beach. A really good restaurant, DinerCraft, is located not far from the apartment, too. And we also had a nice dinner at Casa El Tortugo. There's a lot to do around Drake Bay, and this apartment is a good base for all of it!
