Pick up at Drake Bay airport was on-time, early morning check in, very early breakfast provided, the hosts went above and beyond, super helpful.

Really enjoyed the stay! The family is very nice and helpful. Helped with everything, picked and dropped me off at the boat at the beach without me even asking. Served breakfast for each person depending which activity they do that day and at what time. Room had a balcony with great view of the forest where I saw among others monkeys on different occassions. If you are going to drake bay, really recommend it!

“Excellent stay in Drake Bay.”

We took the boat from Sierpe to Drake and they were waiting for us at the beach to drive us to their hotel. They were all very friendly. We had so great nights here. Breakfast was scheduled based on you travel plans the day after. We had an excursion leaving at 6am, and could have breakfast at 5:20 am. We stayed two separate nights here. We loved it.

We stayed three nights. I was suprised by how clean it was, how many animals we saw from our balcony and how kind the host was. She helped us organize every activity last minute. She provided drinking water and even reusable bottles for the Corcovado National Park trip. The accomodation has a common kitchen as well so we were able to buy fruits and peel them. It is a 10-minutes walk from the beach but that is uphill.

“Inexpensive budget choice”

The property is 5mins up the hill from the drake bay boat drop off. The owner collected us from the boat and dropped us off when we left. Its an inexpensive choice with no frills. The beds were clean and the owners very friendly.

The friendliness of the owner when we arrived made us feel at home in an instant. The room was clean and very spacious with a large bed. this made it extra comfortable being a tall person. The breakfast was simple but well made and had several options.

Very accommodating host. The rooms are clean and nice, the breakfast is perfect. She really helps out when you have to leave early for a tour, giving breakfast earlier than usual. She also had no problem storing our bags when we went on the Corcovado tour.

Bed was comfy, balcony was great and good for viewing birds and creatures. Easy walking distance to beach and other things.

“Perfection in paradise”

The location is insane! My terrace looked to the jungle and I was woken everyday by toucans, parrots and monkeys squabbling 😍 Mayela and her family were super accommodating and helpful through the whole stay. AC was great too. It is right in town so 5 minutes to beach, 2 minutes to restaurants and beautiful jungle walks whichever way you decide to walk. I am now in Puerto Jiménez and missing the tranquility and beauty of Drake Bay.

The locations was very good for us to get to the planned activity. The terrace is in front of a jungle. The lady was very kind and prepared us breakfast very early to meet our plans.

Very friendly staff. They were patient and let me use my poor Spanish, even though I'm sure they spoke much better English than my Spanish. They helped me book a snorkeling tour by calling around to different places. The balcony is beautiful and very private, and the bed is super comfy. Location is great, tons of restaurants and shops nearby. On the last day, they even made me an early breakfast since I was leaving for Corcovado at 5:30.

Very nice and helpful hostess. Magical place in the middle of wild nature.

“Good”

Room is clean, has mosquitoe nets, but get the room with air con to keep the mossies at bay. Arriving at Drake's Bay by car is by dirt road by SUV/4wd. Small village, lovely beach, getway village to diving and to the National Park. The owner is very nice and helpful, She is happy to serve you the included breakfast at 6am, not to miss out as all the tours and dives leave faily early. gorgeous birds in the forest in front of your room. There's a little fridge and kettle in the room too, which is handy.

The host is reaaaaly nice and welcoming! They helped me and my friends take the luggage to the lower level. Except that they knew we would drive to Drake Bay, they checked our safety on our way to the lodge. These warms make us all feel cared for as families. They can also help you book any trips and activities. Highly recommend booking through the host! They can offer a good price and perfect service!

The Ceiba Lodge family were so lovely and helpful, it was great getting to know them. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We saw lots of animals out of the window and it was a short walk to the restaurants, supermarket and beach.

Great location for accessing the small town. Lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the wildlife in the garden (saw iguana, monkeys and loads of different birds including macaws and toucan)
