“Perfect location for Drake with lovely balcony”

Perfect location in Drake, easy access to the beachfront for boat pick-ups, the sendero for beach hike and all the restaurants walking distance. Lovely balcony to relax and where you can see many types of birds - including once we got lucky with an aracari (toucan endemic to Osa). Kitchen is good for simple things like to prepare delicious fruits from the shop next door but wouldn't plan for any complicated dishes (one gas burner). We were comfortable here for five days.

I stayed in the casita, a simple little house, with a balcony, ensuite and a small kitchen. I had all i needed for my 5 nights The house cools down at night, so that I didnt even need the fan. But most of all it felt like a Costa Rican homestay. Manuel and his family were such amazing hosts, helpful whenever needed, around for a chat or to provide information. His daughter Samanta helped organise the tours and taxi for me. I also did two tours with Manuel as he is a certified guide, an amazing one, lots of experience and knowledge on flora and fauna, and on top very funny.

The Casita Tangara family is kind and very helpful! They helped me organize my one-night excursion to the Corcovado National Park and I had the best time there with a fantastic guide. Casita Tangara is located in the town center, within walking distance of everything you need. The balcony is really enjoyable!

This Casita was perfect for us. We loved the shady, elevated balcony with views of the birds and having cooking facilities and a fridge helped us keep the costs of the trip down. There's a great fruit and veg shop next door Communication was great, despite our poor Spanish and the boat to/from Sierpe was organised for us and we had a great tour to Corcovado arranged where we saw tapir and ant eaters. Nothing was too much trouble and Drake bay was lovely to spend several days in with lots of toucans, aracari, scarlet macaws... Overall we had a great stay, thanks

Joanna and Manuel are supper friendly & helpful, they even pick us up at the arrival from the ferry, which we didn't request for, big surprise. They give advises for visit and execution, do book your trip with Manuel if you planning go to the Corcovado NP, he is a lot more experienced than some other travel agency. Sweet & Lovely ppl!!!

Super hosts, close to beach and amenities. Rustic and authentic experience. Hosts organised all our activities, you simply have to provide a copy of your passport. By staying here, you are directly supporting a local family!

“Pleasent stay with hospitable owners”

The property is managed by a very nice and helpful family. They made our stay pleasant, we felt like at home. We spent a lot of time together and had interesting conversations. We booked a trip to Corcovado National Park and the owner turned out to be our guide. He is passionate about his work and has extensive knowledge. The property has well equipped kitchen, mosquito nets in windows and a fan in the bedroom to protect against mosquitos. There is no hot shower (stated in the room description) but with this temperature outside we were not missing it at all. Ultimately: Very good value for money! I recommend especially for everyone who likes to discover local culture.

“This is what you're looking for.”

First I was sceptical, but this is a no brainer. The owners are nice, and its bascially a small house on their property, in the middle of Drake Bay. The room is quite big, has a powerful fan, a kitchenette, plently of power outlets, a big fridge and a small terrace. The bathroom has a shower and everything you need. From the terrace you can see a resort restaurant below, and if you're friendly enough they even give you a coffee at 5am. :) For that price, Casita Tangara is a bargain.

Very nice family running this casita! It was lovely to send some time talking to them. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The facilities that came on too with a kitchen including blender, coffee machine etc were a very nice + And the balcony was very enjoyable

Manuel and Johanna were amazing hosts. They treated us like family! They gave us some great recommendations and helped us with all our questions. Truly an exceptional stay

Very nice hosts. Everything clean and tidy. Rge room was spacious and kitchen well equipped. We even git picked up from the boat.

Amazing stay with Joana, Manuel and their family! They're very friendly, always willing to help and make you feel welcome! The place is very clean, very quiet and only 5' walk from the beach, this is a wonderful place to stay st Bahia Drake !

Johanna and Manuel are really friendly und helpful hosts. Manuel works before as a guide and organized my dives, tours and flights. He speaks very good english. Johanna was so nice, brings me to the beach for the dolphin boat Trip Tour. Cooked special local food for me to try, and let me try plants in her garden. Very nice hosts. I can only recommend. Pura vida
