Everything was exceptional! Luca is a great host! You can find everything you need, and if something is missing, Luca brings you in a few minutes! Also, from the Villa, you have an amazing view!

“A relaxing stay in a lovely villa in a pretty Cretan village.”

This property is outstanding in terms of its size, location and condition. It is a detached villa with decent sized pool (shared with one other property) in the pretty village of Douliana, a forty minute drive from Chania airport. The villa is spacious, traditionally decorated and comprises two double bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom, a large lounge, large kitchen, dining area and a very large basement area. The beds are large and the bedrooms are generous in size. There are two large bed settees in the lounge. There is a private outside sitting/dining area to the side of the property, which is shaded from the sun at all times, and a private covered sitting area to the front. The villa is extremely well equipped in all respects. The kitchen had every gadget imaginable from coffee makers to juicers. There is no shortage of crockery, glassware and cutlery (including sharp knives). There is a hairdryer in each of the bedrooms and bathrobes are provided in the master bedroom. There are sun loungers outside complete with pool towels. Bathroom towels and bed linen are all provided. The villa was so well equipped that it was necessary only to bring clothes – very helpful in reducing the amount of luggage. The owner was keen to ensure our stay was a happy one and went out of his way to be helpful. He was around where needed and contactable by phone. There are two restaurants within easy walking distance of the villa. Both are worth visiting, but we recommend Heliostasi, which provides very good food and has an excellent view of the White Mountains and surrounding countryside. There is a kefenion in the centre of the village selling drinks and snacks. There are many other restaurants a short drive away in Gavalochori, Vamos, Almirida and Kalyves. Douliana has a very nice feel to it. The villa is one of a number of restored Cretan houses in the village, which is peaceful and relaxing. We would certainly recommend this accommodation.

Very quiet location in a village about 5 km from the coast . very comfortably furnished, large rooms.
