“Delightful older style hotel with lots of character and lovely staff”

Lovely hotel with lots of character. Our room was at the front on the first floor and was huge with enormous triple bay windows. Beds were really comfortable and plenty of hot water for our morning shower. Although there was no lift, staff were on hand to carry our suitcases upstairs which was much appreciated after a very long bus journey. Hotel was well located for the beach and local restaurants. We were made to feel very welcome and would have liked to have stayed longer than 4 nights.

It is family run so it’s always a good choice. Fantastic family made you feel at home. Even fed you if you requested. Fabulous.

On-site staff only had limited English. Walk up to 3rd floor was difficult at times.

“Ok for a short stay”

My room was pretty big, but the walls were full of humidity stains. The bathroom door did not have the handle from the bedroom, so it was not possible to close it, unless you were inside. Some ants tried to eat my snack: I guess that they found an easy access from the window. It's a real pity, because I believe that the hotel has a lot of potential and the tall ceilings and the big window give a general "antique charming look". I also must say, that it is a very affordable hotel (price). The staff was great and very kind with me!

“Old school”

The young man at reception was very helpful, and we communicated via Google translate. The location was much nicer than I expected. I thought I'd chosen poorly regarding location, but it was beautiful. There were cafes on street corners full of customers, the streets were tree lined with a French colonial feel to them. And a great park/promenade by the river, where kids were riding small bikes with flashing LED lights around a 'track', as music played.

This hotel is a real gem, we stayed in spacious room with great view, very quiet and the staff was so nice and friendly. Didn't really want to leave.

The staff were very welcoming. Value for money! It’s in a great spot with the 4 best places to eat being a stone’s throw away. Si and his family were very polite and we even joined them for practice one night. Highly recommend

Fantastic staff. Extremely clean- the cleanest hotel we have been in Vietnam in 2 months. Very quiet. We recomend it to eveyone !

Good stay, room was easy but clean. Hot water was good but the amount of hot water was just for one person, normal speed. The breakfast was splendid, the host was perfect, very welcoming to speak to someone in English. Safe place to stay, restaurants around .

Basic room, but has everything you need! They also offer different tours you can join!

The room was spacious, clean, and quiet.

It was next to a really nice cafe called treehuggers. I had a private decent sized balcony. However, I do not believe all rooms have that.

“A lovely hotel with amazing staff and clean facilities in an amazing location.”

This property had an amazing view as well as a lovely rooftop where the five of us smoked and drank. The location was also splendid as it was a short walk from the main part of the city. The staff were so amazing and helped us book the Phong Nha cave tour which made our travel experience so much easier. They included a complimentary breakfast before the tour as well which was super nice! They also cleaned our rooms and had everything folded neatly for us when we got back from the tour. All up a very clean, heartfelt, and lovely stay. Would highly recommend for anyone that wants to stay in Dong Hoi or needs a place to stay to day trip to the Phong Nha national park. Thank you very much!

Great value for money! Staff are really nice and helpful with good advice on what to do in the area. 2 minutes walking to the foreshore area with a beautiful walk along the river. Easy walking distance to restaurants and cafes!

Really enjoyed tour, Nick was a great guide to Paradise and river caves. Breakfast was good, a great start to the day. A wonderful and friendly hostess and staff.
