I arrived at 8pm and was given a very warm welcome by Holger and his Wife Khwanchai. The room was very nice, a big comfy bed and sofa seating area, a well stocked fridge and snacks at very reasonable prices and a nice big bathroom with electric shower. Khwanchai cooked me a delicious meal of pad krapow pork with rice and a fried egg which I enjoyed whilst chatting with Holger. I had an excellent nights sleep and enjoyed a great breakfast in the morning. Holger the dropped me of at the Ferry terminal. Very welcoming hosts, a nice clean comfy place to stay and great food. Highly reccomend a stay here 🙏

The hosts at Kwahol Guesthouse were super welcoming and friendly and took pride in helping us make the most of our stay. They took us on a wonderful evening trip to the local friday market in Donsak and a fantastic daytrip in the surrounding area. Wonderful views, great food and beautiful temples. The trip included a unique boat trip featuring, not only pink dolphin spotting, but also mind blowing geological formations. The room and breakfast was great and the home made dinner was delicious. This was certainly a highlight of our trip to Thailand and is highly recommeded! Thank you Kwanchai and Holger for a lovely stay!

This is the second time we have stayed with Holger and Khwanchai and it was wonderful to return. As we were with our family, we occupied both bedrooms and we all agreed that the beds were comfy, the shower was great, there is a swimming pool, and our hosts were willing to help us with anything we needed. We took some wine with us and had drinks on the balcony before enjoying a delicious Thai dinner which was home cooked by Kwanchai. The eggs served at breakfast were noted as the freshest I have ever eaten. And the location means that the Seatrans ferry is only a 15 minute drive so no stress about getting there. Thank you Holger and Kwanchai for your kind hospitality. We will be back!

“I wish we could have stayed longer.”

We were very lucky to get a last minute booking. The hosts were accommodating and helpful. We had dinner in the evening and the food was excellent too.

“A great stop off and good value.”

Holgar and his partner greated us on our arrival and made food for us even though it was very late. It was very convenient for the ferry and good value. Holgar brought us to the ferry for a reasonable price. There is a mini bar and snacks in the room. There is air conditioning. Spotlessly clean.

The hosts really are amazing!!! Holger is the perfect host, drop offs & pick ups to and from the pier, with even a short stop at the Don Sak wat and view point. And if you have the time to enjoy the cooking of his friendly wife Khwanchai, do it. It is so good.

“Great value-for-money & convenient location”

Overall - this place represents great value-for-money. We were offered dinner on arrival, and this was delicious & very reasonably priced. The hosts also offered to arrange to have a masseuse visit at a convenient time. The massage was performed in a curtained-off area in the large entrance foyer of the second story (adjacent to the rooms).

“Great overnight stay”

Good size room and friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast was great. Owner took us to several sights on the way to the ferry port, so we saw the pink dolphins

Holger and his partner were great hosts, they were both very good cooks (Holgers homemade curry wurst is a must try!) And were always very happy to help. The room was very spacious and clean and comfortable with plenty of space to relax. The pool was great to have a quick dip after a long day. Holger rented us a little scooter for the time we were there and gave us great advice for travelling around. Very well located, peaceful and quiet but close to lots of attractions, beautiful countryside and the donsak ferry. We only wish we'd stayed there longer as it was wonderful and we had such a nice time. Would thoroughly recommend and hope we come back again some time.

“Fantastic stay”

Lovely family, very clean and big room with comfortable bed, delicious food and very good service. For instance: Holger picked us up from the train station very, very early in the morning (around 5.30 am). And brought us the following day to the pier. All for reasonable prices. He offers tours but also rents a good motorbike. He gave us lots of information to do this. The surroundings are very quiet and very beautiful. And he knows where to find the pink dolphins nearby (of course no guarantees, it is nature). And his wife Khanchai cookes a delicious meal, we loved it! Also the separate breakfast is very, very nice with homemade bread. We tried to come back after our stay at an island but sadly for us they were already fully booked for that day. When we are in the neighbourhood again, we certainly want to stay again at Holgers and Khanchais place.

It was a great hosting for our faily, the room was extra big and extra clean, Holger and his wife are amazing hosting, the food was home made (thai and german menu:) Realy recomend to eat there! On our way to the ferry Holger took us through donsak local village and temple. We will definetly return!
