“Lovey little stay”

A gorgeous property, nice sized bungalows, can use kayaks, cheap to do washing, owner was absolutely lovely

Wonderful, quiet location about 30 minutes walk out of the town, with a lovely restaurant attached to the guesthouse. The owner was very nice and helpful too.

Great place ! Bungalow is basic but nice and clean, excellent and cheap restaurant, very nice place to chill all day long. Friendly staff ! The guesthouse is away from the main center of don det, along the river, so it's super quiet !

I think that is the bungalow with the best view (open now after Covid time) in Don Det. Super authentic bungalows with big and comfortable beds. Restaurant offers really tasty and cheap food, portions are huge. Stuff is lovely and caring. 3 minutes walk to the french bridge to cross to the other island (Don Khone) and to watch impressive sunsets. 5 minutes walk to beautiful waterfall Li Phi. Bikes to rent in the places and by many neighbours on the street. Perfectly great value for the price. There is not one thing to complain.

Owner was really nice, let me help myself to beers and drinks so if he wasn’t around I could still grab something, beautiful view from the balcony and chilling in the hammock was amazing. Bed was surprisingly really comfy as well.

Location was good. Outside of the main streets which is what we like. The restaurant was on the water with a nice view. The food and shakes were great. He even made take away for us because we had an early boat to catch. Very friendly host with good English.

Is next to the river. Very basic. Near to bridge.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here”

I thought this place was great, far enough away from the main hubbub to be super peaceful and conveniently very close to the bridge to Don Khon. You can hire a bicycle from a number of places 10 minutes walk away to get around easily. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and basic, I enjoyed the simplicity and feeling at one with nature, listening to the cicadas and geckos sing you to sleep. Ek and the rest of the staff are lovely, always happy to help. I could have spent much longer happily daydreaming watching the Mekong float by at the restaurant.

The location is beautiful and close to some of the better restaurants in Don Det and Don Knone. Don Khone is a short stroll away via the French bridge. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Dont be fooled by the seemingly long distance from the main pier, just rent a bike or you can arrange a ferry to Don Khone instead which is closer. The area around the main pier doesn’t have much going on anyway. Enjoy the nature and seclusion. You will also be nearer the treks and walks to waterfalls etc. Guesthouse owner Ik is lovely, very helpful and deserves a shoutout. Booked 4 nights, stayed an extra 2 nights.
