Overview
Set in the Piedmont countryside, Agriturismo La Tensa is 5 km outside Domodossola centre. Composed of 4 rural buildings, it offers a traditional restaurant and choice of rooms and apartments. Accommodation at La Tensa has a rustic yet elegant design with wood-beamed ceilings and parquet floors. All rooms and apartments feature an LCD TV, private bathroom and views of the valley, mountains or surrounding greenery. The apartments also offer a kitchen. In 1 of the buildings of this country estate you will find the restaurant. Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, with meals served out on the terrace. A car is recommended as public transport is scarce. The Domo Bianca ski lift is 5 km away, while the Terme di Premia thermal spa is 40 minutes' drive away.

High on the valley wall above Domodossola to give wonderful views of mountains and (less wonderful) town far below. Traditionally 'rebuilt' small mountain 'settlement' with individual houses/apartments. Cosy split level apartment.

Very beautiful and cozy place on the hills. The apartments have been converted from old stone houses. The view is amazing. A restaurant is also part of the building ensemble.

“A mountain paradise surrounded by birdsong.”
Totally immersed in nature on the side of a mountain, this is a little slice of heaven on earth. Superbly restored, this delightful property, whilst a little way from town, is perfectly situated to take advantage of the natural beauty of the valley and access the many walks right from it’s doorstep. The restaurant is exceptional, and we saw many locals coming to eat as well, but as tourists we were warmly welcomed and felt immediately relaxed. Francesca is the consumate hostess, professional but also absolutely down to earth; and behind the scenes in the kitchen, Ivan prepares top quality local fare - everything we ate during our visit was delicious.

This is one of the best Stays I had during my vacation. Decided to go here by fluke but it turned out to be a very beautiful property- perfect for a quite gateaway. The room was spacious and clean. The windows are so well designed that you can look out to the mountains and the changing sky colors forever. The owner and his wife were very considerate to serve us breakfast before their usual time. I would have loved if the restaurant was open on Tuesday for dinner - but that’s a minor thing - good thing is I got to know about this in advance and could arrange for alternate arrangements.

“A very beautiful and friendly location, although busy with the farm the owners couldn’t have been more helpful.”
The location whilst being a bit off the beaten track is absolutely stunning, the circuitous drive up from Domodossola became insignificant on reaching the property. The views are amazing and the restored buildings beautiful, still appearing to be built using a dry stone walling technique.

the location and view are amazing. The atmosphere brings you back to the 17th century, but with the conforme of 21st century! The osteria in also great with very good staff and food.

We had our own breakfast so eee don't know how the coffee was. It would be much more nice if there is an oven and a dish washer, but for a weekend it is enough.
