Fabulous location in Turnac about a 20 mins drive from Domme. Spacious room with super comfortable bed and shutters opening onto the river view was heavenly. Lots of outdoor seating for sunset drinks . Quintessential French countryside getaway.

Beautiful setting with views of the river.. All the different areas in the garden were a pleasure to discover. The owners were friendly and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.The bedroom was spacious and very well thought out. We appreciated the coffee and tea facilities and the fridge. We would have loved to have stayed longer

Liked the quiet country location and unique, comfortable style of the Relais. It was central to all the sites we wanted to see in the Dordogne. Our host Duncan was very friendly and accommodating

“Very comfortable, relaxing and spacious Relais in a stunning location, creating a perfect getaway.”

This hideaway Relais with stunning views over the Dordogne River was the perfect location for our 3 night stay. The British owners were very relaxed, friendly and welcoming which created the perfect atmosphere for guests. The two dogs were equally friendly!! The building has been renovated to a high standard by the builder owner (Duncan) and the kitchen is straight out of the designer magazines with a unique 8 seater oak table where guests can interact and share the wonderful buffet breakfast. There is a charming informality about the guest accommodation. A hire car is essential to reach the nearest villages (15 minutes away), where a choice of restaurants provide good local cuisine. It is also perfectly located for exploring the numerous medieval villages, gardens and chateaux along the Dordogne valley. We would highly recommend this venue and hope to return to continue our exploration of the region.

“What a fabulous place and hosts!”

What a smashing six night stay we had. Duncan and Jane were wonderful hosts, super respectful and helpful. This idylic location offered stunning views over the river, and a swimming spot access too, and birds, butterflys, and natural quiet. Walking from the house to both the cliffs on the river, or the local farms was super easy. The lovely breakfasts offered a really relaxing time to talk to our hosts about ideas and the area, and also share plans and experiences with fellow guests. We had the balcony room which looked out over garden and river. It had a small fridge that allowed us to keep cold bottles and lunch / evening food, and we could use some of the glasses and plates etc from the kitchen below. A great find, Enjoy!

The position of the accommodation was very good. A short path to the river. A short drive to the centre of Domme but was good being out of the melee. A very good breakfast

Very lovely hosts. Beautiful view from the room. The bed was so confortable, great matress ! And breakfast shared with the owners was very friendly in the beautiful commun kitchen

“Totally perfect!!”

This is the second time we’ve visited. It is wonderful, a very special place in this world. The rooms are clean and very comfortable - Jane and Duncan are lovely and we feel very at home there. The location is stunning - it’s pretty much the perfect place to stay

Beautiful and peaceful "chambre d'hôtes". Duncan and Jane were very good hosts, the accommodation was very comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the breakfasts with the other guests. Would definitely recommend.

Away from everything a beautiful part of Domme with nature, birdsong and a gently running river view. Jane and Duncan’s home is warm, welcoming and a testament to their hard work. A gorgeous slice of French country life.
