Such a beautiful place to stay and such gracious hosting from Christian. One of the most comfortable stays we've had in a long time in an amazing setting. The grounds are incredibly peaceful and the rooms have everything you need. We didn't want to leave!

Stunning property set in a very private, quiet and spacious garden setting, surrounded by woodland. Lovely views of the Dordogne valley below. Beautifully renovated rooms, with a huge and comfortable living area and cosy kitchen-diner where an excellent breakfast is offered. Covered parking and a large pool complete the picture. You’re less than 10 mins drive from Domme, with plenty of shops & cafes. The owner, Christian, was absolutely charming!

We loved our stay at the Manoir, this place stood out to us for many reasons. Christian, the host welcomed us with a bottle of Rose which we consumed while getting restaurant and day trip recommendations for our stay. When we mentioned we had an electric car he offered us to charge our car in his huge undercover carpark for no charge which was so convenient and not expected. Christian gave us a tour of all the rooms which all have been tastefully decorated and all have huge king size beds, made with luxury cotton bed linen; we could not have been more comfortable. From our room we could also see the Dordogne river, the setting is so beautiful. We used the large swimming pool daily and relaxed poolside enjoying the beautiful weather. To top it all off were the daily breakfasts. For a BnB, these breakfasts were next level. Each day was a little different with Christian baking a beautiful orange cake one day then the best French toast I have ever had the next! Christian will offer you anything you want, offered eggs if we wanted not to mention an extensive buffet of cheeses and cold cuts, cereals yoghurts and coffee made just how we liked it. We hope to return very soon we loved the property and the area so much. Phil and Tom

“A jewel in the heart of Dordogne”

We loved the exquisitely renovated, historic manor that has been restored in a gorgeous period style. Our room was spacious and very well appointed. The manor is in a stunning setting with a lovely view down into a Dordogne valley just outside of Domme. Loved the pool too. It is an excellent location with close access to visit many of the area's beautiful villages, towns and natural wonders. But it was our wonderful host who made the manor come to life. So gracious and welcoming, with a love for and attention to fine detail, not only with the decor in general, but also with the exquisitely prepared breakfast table, our host made our stay a happy, relaxed and unforgetable one. Staying at Le Manoir du Rocher was one of those extra special, unique experiences in life that we will never forget.

The character and charm of the house was exceptional. Christian has done a fantastic job of restoring the house to its current glory. “A very special place”

This is a special place, a really special place. The house is gorgeously presented, the salon well adorned and a lovely place to sit and relax in the evening, and the grounds are lovely too. Christian is a wonderful host, very helpful, friendly and informative. The rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. The swimming pool is divine with it's stone borders and a lovely oak building at one end. Breakfast was delicious, and included possibly the best "French Toast" we have ever had.

“It couldn‘t be more beautiful …”

We had a wonderful time spent in Manoir de Roche. Our host Christian has always made us feel like guests in a very private and extremely charming place to stay, on his beautiful property. I rarely write recommendations, but in this case it's impossible not to. It is extremely rare to find an accommodation service at such a high level and at a "normal" price. Delicious breakfasts, exceptionally elegantly served, the host serves coffee and scrambled eggs - but this is not what makes the breakfast so special, but the presence and an extremely nice conversation with the host! Photographer by profession - beautiful photos on the walls! Something else? Hmmm, in the living room (publicly accessible) there is Cognac XO for guests!!! Impossible! I recommend it - I sincerely recommend it!

Christian is the beatiful host! Very polite, attentive. The territory and house are well maintained, clean, attractive. Bed linens like in 5 stars hotels. Pictures of the rooms and house match the reality fully. Very nice place with convenineces. Very tasty and various breakfast.
