Staying in an amazing bit of history if only the walls could talk !! Super comfy bed and amazing views sitting on our thrones looking out to the town and countryside beyond. Certainly the hostess with the most charming of welcomes. The breakfast was amazing alot homemade, very delicious All very nice and a treat.

“Perfect host and historic location”
It was a privilege to stay in such a historic house - our room included a tower which felt very exciting. Blandine is a lovely host and the breakfast was exceptional with homemade jams and yoghurts and local cheeses and meats. Domfort is a beautiful town with lots of interesting things to see.

“A delightful overnight stop in Domfront.”
Staying in a suite of rooms within the ramparts of the city wall. Breakfast (Very good breakfast) on the terrace overlooking Normandy. Total immersion in this historic site. The views are fabulous! A whole suite of rooms to ourselves (2 of us). It could easily accommodate about seven people! Cool and high up under the roof timbers. Just fantastic! The host was delightful and opened her home to us and allowed us to store our bikes in her garage.

The whole place is a masterful example of skillful and beautiful design and application. The welcome from Blandine was wonderful. the whole room was very comfortable and was one of the best nights sleep i have had in years. If you are near or passing through Domfront, then stay here if only for a night or two. you will not regret it.

“A dream of a place!”
La maison sur les remparts is a truly exceptional place to stay. It is owned and run by an artist who is a wonderful host, who made us feel warmly welcome from the start, as well as a most interesting person to talk to. She runs a place so full of history and charme it is difficult to know where to begin - from the location of the building on top of the ramparts, its late medieval, tasteful design, the spaciousness of the rooms, ... This is a created a very, very special place, which is beyond perfect.

“Amazing b&b. Absolutely will be back”
Loved the rooms we had. I’m on walking sticks and 3 flights of stairs were just manageable! The rooms were bright and airy with very comfortable beds and very peaceful Plenty of towels too! Breakfast on the terrace was amazing! Excellent food and great value for money
