The villa itself is beautifully designed, combining elegance with comfort, and surrounded by a serene atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. If you book the Villa Albizia at Doi Saket, you will receive much more than just luxurious accommodation. You will experience hospitality on a different level. It'll feel like adding at 6th star to a 5-star mountain resort paradise. The breakfast, for example, is out of this world because it'll be prepared according to your personal taste and preferences. Absolutely delicious! Or the sticky rice with mango you can have lying on your sunchair by the side of the pool. The whole place feels like a Garden of Eden. It is ideal for nature lovers, sunset fans, bird watchers and anyone else who can appreciate all the love, good taste and diligent care that created a unique environment like that. The rooms are spacious and elegant. You will sleep like a baby and eat like a king. If you want to whizz around on a bike or a scooter, you can. Jim, the owner and manager, will see to it that you are completely happy and satisfied. Villa Albizia is likely to be the most beautiful place you have ever booked.

Absolutely wonderful stay We had an amazing stay here. Everything was beautiful from start to finish. The accommodation itself is stunning – very well designed, extremely clean, and with super comfortable beds. One of the highlights was the gorgeous garden. It’s incredibly well maintained, full of lovely details, and you can enjoy a wonderful view of it directly from the room – very peaceful and relaxing. The pool was also fantastic – clean, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and delicious, and a perfect start to the day.But what really made the stay special was the host Jim. He is unbelievably friendly, warm, and attentive, helped organize a scooter for us, and gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. Highly recommended – we would definitely come back

Words cannot describe the innate beauty of Villa Albizia. Nestled between rice fields and hills, it’s the perfect oasis. We spent four wonderful nights at Jim’s place. And whilst we wanted to explore the neighbouring area and Chiang Mai (and we did) we found ourselves drawn to staying at the Villa. The garden is beautiful and perfectly tended. The pool is gorgeous, the perfect temperature and as there are only 4 rooms, always quiet. The house itself; designed with utmost taste by Jim, is comforting, clean and incredibly chic. The features and details of the breakfast, cooked freshly every morning by Jim, were perfect. Amazing coffee. The view of the sunset from the upstairs is mesmerising. The rooms are perfectly equipped, spacious, clean and full of amenities that are replenished. The shower pressure is fantastic, and the bed is extremely comfortable. We didn’t sleep better in our whole three weeks in Thailand. Jim has bikes on the property that we made use of during our time to explore the local area (lots of wonderful cafes and restaurants and 711 close by) which was very generous. He also helps with all other transport needs, including airport pick up, helping you hire a moped, etc. Immensely generous in dropping us off to Chiang Mai (30 mins by car) when he was himself going to the city. The best thing about Villa Albizia is undoubtably Jim himself. He is not like many people we have met in this industry. He is kind, generous, attentive, full of wonderful and insightful information, and strikes the perfect balance between being a fantastic host and knowing when to take a step back. The best thing about Jim though, is his sense of humour, which is why me and my partner would find ourselves wanting to spend time with him in his beautiful home! He has two lovely and very friendly dogs, which just add charm to his space. What Jim has created and curated at Villa Albizia is unlike anything we have experienced, and my partner and I have travelled extensively.

Jim is a remarkable host who ensured our needs were met throughout our stay with him. The house and gardens are incredible spaces. So much consideration has been given to their design — everything works so well that it is possible to gain an inner peace here that is normally so hard to find. It's in a beautiful location, with much to see and do in the local area. Only a twenty minute drive from Chiang Mai yet the tranquility makes the busy world feel a million miles away...

The beautiful surroundings in the middle of rice fields. The sound of the frogs at night, birds when the sun is out. And the buzz of Chiang Mai only a drive away. The room itself: spacious, well decorated, great shower and a big comfy bed. The healthy and tasty breakfast. And most of all: the host Jim himself: the personal and warm touch he gave to our stay: helpful, knowledgeable about Thai culture, people and the surroundings of the accommodation and an eye for detail.

This villa is truly a paradise for my husband and me. We stayed for two nights and cherished every single minute. It is an exquisitely designed home — not just a place to stay, but a real home filled with style, taste, and thoughtful details. Surrounded by nature, the setting is simply breathtaking. The garden is brilliant, with trees, flowers, birds, and life all around you. It genuinely feels as if you are living in a small paradise, completely peaceful and harmonious. You can immediately sense that the owner has an exceptional lifestyle and refined taste, and more importantly, that he generously shares this with his guests. Jim has a true heart for hospitality. He genuinely wants his guests to have the best possible experience and goes above and beyond — helping us find a motorbike, arranging drivers when possible, and always being attentive without ever being intrusive. We also had some truly interesting and meaningful conversations with him. He is incredibly elegant, thoughtful, and inspiring. His personal style and way of living are reflected in every corner of the villa. The breakfast deserves a special mention — it was absolutely wonderful. Fresh, top-quality, and prepared with so much care. As Jim says, he only shares with guests what he truly enjoys himself. From the homemade jams and butter to the fresh fruit, everything was exceptional. I have traveled extensively around the world, and honestly, this was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had — perfectly aligned with my taste and lifestyle. Adding to the magic, he has two lovely dogs who make the place feel even more like home. This is the kind of place where you could stay for days, even weeks — and still not want to leave. I truly didn’t want to go. Thank you so much, Jim, for such a wonderful experience. We had an unforgettable time and sincerely hope to come back one day to see you again. Take care.

It was just as perfect as a stay can be - my girlfriend and me would say it was the most beautiful and welcoming hotel we ever stayed in our lifes.🤗 Jim, the owner, is such a lovely person and makes you feel at home right from the start. He would drive you to the bus station, the motor bike rental, restaurants etc. and bring you snacks or drinks without being asked once ❤️ The 2 dogs are lovely and property out of a movie. We didn't want to leave, especially as the surrounding is so beautiful and full of warm people and "the real Thailand". If you ever get the chance to stay at Jim's house, don't hesitate! We booked our stay at the villa because of the many positive reviews. We were 100% satisfied with our stay at this lovely guesthouse. The garden is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained – a perfect place to sit, relax or swim in the pool. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and prepared with great care every morning. The service was outstanding. Our host was extremely attentive and kind, always making sure we had everything we needed. He even took us to the Lantern Festival and bought us a lantern himself. We truly felt welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful atmosphere, excellent service, and genuine hospitality.

The villa was over looking a wonderfull garden, we awoke to birds singing every morning, a grea place to relax and recharge. Jim the host was wonderful going out of his way to look after us, breakfast each day was delicious, and Jim recommended several great local restaurants for us to visit. We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Jim! His charming little house is set right in the middle of nature, with only three rooms, which makes it feel very personal and peaceful. Jim is an amazing host – incredibly kind, caring, and genuinely dedicated to making his guests feel comfortable. Every morning he prepared a lovely breakfast with so much attention to detail: yogurt, muesli, homemade jam, fresh juice, and fruit – the perfect start to the day. Jim truly goes above and beyond for his guests. He gave us great local tips, answered all our questions, and since there were no other guests during our stay, he even offered to drive us to a nearby restaurant one evening – such a thoughtful gesture! The location is a bit remote, so there aren’t too many restaurants or shops around, but that’s part of its charm – you’re surrounded by beautiful, peaceful nature. Another highlight was Jim’s two wonderful, well-behaved dogs. As an animal lover, I absolutely loved having them around – they made the stay feel even more homely and warm. All in all, we felt so comfortable and welcome with Jim and his lovely dogs. Highly recommended – a true hidden gem in nature! 🐾💚

Villa Albizia is an amazing stay which I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Chiang Mai. It’s a beautifully designed villa in the middle of a beautiful garden surrounded by nature. Jim, your host at the villa, is a very thoughtful and helpful host. He gave us many tips for restaurants and things to do both in the area of the Villa and in Chiang Mai itself. Nothing was too much for him. One night he even drove us to a restaurant nearby and picked us up again! For those wondering about the location, it’s a 20-30min drive from Chiang Mai centre but it’s never an issue to get a grab to and from the Villa! If you’re reading this, highly recommended.

“A stay that felt less like a booking and more like coming home - perfect in every detail.”

Wow, I'm not sure where to start.. An experience way beyond booking into a simple hotel or homestay. This property is a rare 10/10 on booking.com for very good reason. Jim is the best host you could possibly imagine. He doesn't just go the extra mile to help make your stay comfortable and special, he goes the extra 1000 miles and more. Staying with Jim and the lovely dogs Lily and Matoom was more like discovering long lost family than a simple stay in a beautiful house. Now, the property... an absolutely stunning house and beautiful large guest rooms with views of the "garden".. (calling it a garden is an injustice, they are "grounds", expansive and lovingly maintained down to the last detail). Large windows surrounding the room meant waking up as though you were in nature, but in the most comfortable bed I think I've ever slept in. I sat on the balcony and sipped the copious amounts of fresh coffee that Jim provided, before eating fresh fruit from the trees in the garden, and wonderful cooked breakfasts to follow. You don't really need to leave the property... take a swim in the beautiful infinity pool, surrounded by trees and flowers, sun loungers, and views of the rolling countryside and forest hills in the background. Or sit on the veranda or main balcony and enjoy the views whilst reading and relaxing. If you do feel like venturing out however, Jim assists with providing a hire motorcycle from a local shop, and it's a beautiful experience to be riding through the countryside and rice fields in the sunshine. You can stop at the nearby reservoir and admire the views over lunch in some of the wonderful cafes, or ride up to a quiet temple with an excellent viewpoint, a cat, and lots of buddhists being tranquil. I can't praise this property, location, and most of all the host enough. This is the reason why a 10/10 score on booking.com exists.
