We had a wonderful stay at Rate Apartma Vita in Dobrovo – everything was excellent, from the comfort and cleanliness of the apartment to the peaceful surroundings. It’s also a great dog-friendly place, and together with the perfect location in Goriška brda and the extremely kind hosts, it made our stay truly enjoyable

We loved the fact that it is the last house at the village, ideal for relaxing holiday - beautiful views and silence (+ sounds of spring nature). The apartment is nicely furbished and well equipped. The best is the biggest window to the orchard and sliding doors to covered terrace and possibility to be outside in the garden most of the time. The owner are really kind and Nonna is a great baker (got potica and easter loaf). One could stay there forever.

The apartment is at an unique location: the vineyards are literally in your backyard! Next to that the apartment looks new, is very well equipped with the latest, and has a very nice bed, making our stay very comfortable. Add to that, grand mother’s pie and it’s clear we had an amazing time.

This was a lovely apartment in a corner of a family house at the end of a small lane, facing onto vineyards. Despite being part of the house, the apartment felt really privtae. It had its own terrace on both exterior sides. One side was covered, with a table and chairs for eating, the other looked into a cherry orchard and had loungers and a coffee table. Through the trees we could glimpse the rolling hills and vines of Goriska Brda / Italy. In the evenings we enjoyed watching fireflies. There are no other rented apartments at the property so it felt secluded and was very peaceful. The apartment had a spacious living/kitchen room, a good-sized bathroom with large shower, and bedroom. It was nicely kitted out with throughtful extras such as blankets for sitting out when cooler. The kitchen contained a good sized fridge, a half sized dishwasher which was really useful, coffee machine, kettle and a 2-ring hob. Washing liquid and cleaning materials were also supplied but no laundry equipment. As there is no oven or microwave, don't make our msitake and bring a ready meal to heat up. However there is a good range of basic equipment for stovetop cooking if you are minded to do that. As there are several restaurants in walking distance (inclduing the nice one we tried at the Agriturismo just over the Italian border) you may not want to cook at all. The hosts were really nice and brought us home made pastries and some of their cherries, and a couple of days later Nona brought us her homemade strudel - these were all delicious and it was so kind and made us feel very welcome. When we mentioned we liked to walk they fetched us walking maps and explained where we could go (the walks are fairly easy as no-one seems to mind you using the tracks between fields / vineyards.). They went above and beyond to make us welcome and have an enjoyable stay, while being wholly discreet. Even the gorgeous furry dog was very friendly.
