Definitely the highlight stay of our 3 week trip! Amazing, caring and friendly staff, who's always there right on point. They even cooked a veggie meal every night for me - thank you so much! The food was 5 stars all the way through. So good! Our Chalet was incredible! We stayed right at the Okavango River - such fantastic views on the patio! The room itself was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We booked and enjoyed a Sundowner River Boat Tour with Shametu to see lots of Hippos! Also we booked a morning Game drive with our amazing guide Mr Ken, who found us some Lions at Buffalo Core Area! The location is perfect to explore Mahango and Buffalo Core Area. We stayed for 3 nights, but could've stayed for a month! :D We'll be back! <3

We had a tent overlooking the river that was quiet, spacious and had a really good view - we were the furthest tent from the communal area. The bed was large and comfortable and there was a lovely deck to sit out on overlooking the river.

“A beautiful riverfront resort offering fabulous activities”

This is a beautiful waterfront resort overlooking the Kavango river (Okavango) with partial view of Popa falls. It is a popular resort with the big tour companies. There are expansive split level decks with a pool, alfresco dining and seating overlooking the river and facing the sunset. The safari activities on the river and at 2 nearby national parks where absolutely fabulous! There was abundant birdlife and game including lions, loads of elephant and a leopard. The river was alive with hippos, crocs and birds. Sunset drinks on Popa island was great. We thoroughly recommend the private breakfast river cruise. Our fantastic river guide for all our cruises was knowledgeable, chatty and engaging. The land game guide was more a game driver; still great but not at the level of guides at other game reserves we have visited. The food and service was 'resorty' good; most of the vegetables were grown onsite in gardens at the back. The host manager Yolunda was amazing and very helpful! Our booked room was 'basic' and as such was on the smaller side, away from the water and dining area. But this made it very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed beautiful birdlife and partial views of the river from our large private balcony. 3 nights here enabled us to do all the activities we wanted to do. BRING insect repellent!

“Boat Trip and place are amazing, staff needs improvement”

The boat trip was amazing, we we're only 2 and our Guide had an excellent knowledge about the different birds of the area. The cleaning ladys we're really friendly and the terrasse with the View over the river is beautiful. The room was Clean and spacious, but a bit stuffy

We loved Shametu, our tent was on the riverside with comfortable chairs on the decking for us to enjoy the view. The food and staff were excellent and looked after us so well. This was our favourite accommodation during our three weeks in Namibia.
