Set in a renovated 19th-century villa, this hotel offers elegantly decorated rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi. Its landscaped garden overlooks the IJssel River and the surrounding countryside. All rooms and suites at Villa Veertien have air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a rain-shower and or a spa bath. The suites also open onto a balcony with IJssel views and include a seating area. Some suites also feature a fireplace. Bike rentals are available and many hiking and cycling trails are close by. My stay at Villa Veertien was nothing short of extraordinary. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with stunning views from the deck where I enjoyed my breakfast each morning. The sunshine filtering through without being too harsh added a perfect touch of warmth, making it an idyllic start to the day. The villa’s location is steeped in history, situated right by the river with its charming tobacco room—a nod to its trading past. Watching the barges pass by was a delightful experience, adding a touch of nostalgia and vibrancy to the mornings. Another highlight was the ‘pony’, a little ferry that shuttles cyclists and cars back and forth across the river to Dieren, right in front of the villa—absolutely charming to watch. The gardens are beautifully kept, and the whole atmosphere of the place is peaceful and inspiring.

Villa Veertien is exceptional--blending luxury, comfort, and natural beauty. The facilities are of the highest quality, with every detail seems to have been carefully considered, creating a truly enjoyable experience. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable. It was immaculately clean and quiet. The team at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The views from Villa Veertien offer stunning panoramas of the IJssel River and the serene countryside. Watching the shipping traffic glide along the river from the comfort of my room was unique. The wide windows framed the picturesque scenes of the river, with fields stretching peacefully into the distance.

The attention to detail and love for hospitality was evident in everything, from the welcome by the owner to the decor choices for each space, and from the fresh breakfast made with carefully selected ingredients to the selection of wines and sodas set out for guests in the "library". Add the lovely view of the river and comfortable spacious rooms and you have a wonderful stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay and recommend the place strongly, especially the rooms with a balcony overlooking the river Ijssel. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. An extra compliment to the staff from check-in, breakfast service to check-out: everyone was so friendly and helpful. Very good serviced breakfast (no buffet!)

“Beautiful house, well renovated and comfortable”
The hotel is located in an old house, very well renovated. The decor is classy and everything looks very pretty and upscale. It is clean and even smells so good! The staff is friendly and helpful.
