“Pleasant enough stay on a good location”

A pleasant place to stay a few days, great location, good food and very nice staff. We also enjoyed the excursions a lot.

This place is 150 m away from the beach. The bungallows are comfy - we stayed in 3 different ones, alltogether 8 nights. Good private terrace, pool was OK. Went for trips and they allowed to leave our luggage there. Food was excellent especially the écrevisse flambée and the lobster. Was possible to have coffee before breakfast time and drink it on our terrace. Christine was very kind, but all staff as well.

Very nice hotel, nice rooms, restaurant, pool area, garden. Lovely private beach area just a short safe walk down. Beach restaurants nearby along the beach. Nicer area that I expected. Trips arranged. Airport pick up/drop etc..

“Very comfortable well-run hotel in Ramena”

We had two different rooms because we extended our stay. The first (#5) was close to the pool and better / more private than the second one (#6). The hotel is set 200 meters back from the beach which we liked but some might prefer to be right on the beach. When you get to the beach you are at the far end of the busy part of the beach. Turn left and there's a gorgeous stretch of almost totally deserted soft white sand with warm crystal clear water. Turn right and it's the same beach, but it gets gradually busier, and soon you get to the village of Ramena where you'll find dozens of small restaurants serving excellent seafood. The hotel also has a small swimming pool which is nice for cooling off. It's easy to arrange excursions from there. We went to the Montagne des Francais - it's well worth the effort to climb to the summit where you have a stunning 360 degree view of the bay. You can also walk to Baie des Dunes and Baie des Pigeons - it's a hot sweaty walk but totally doable. However, despite all the fuss about the Trois Baies, the beach at Orangea which is just around the headland from Ramena has got to be one of the nicest beaches in the world.

“Lovely small hotel”

Quiet location close to a lovely beach. Nice pool & garden with morning visits from some lemurs! Good bungalows. The double ones are newly refurbished & very nice & the family ones are a bit tight for space with older bathrooms but still comfortable & clean. Staff were helpful & the food was good. Very glad we chose to stay here.

Really good hotel for the price you pay. Very clean with everything you need. Travelled with 2 kids and they love it. breakfast is great also for Madagascar with lots of fruits.

“Perfect Christmas stay”

Lakana exceeded our already high expectations. Superbly located 100m away from Ramena beach, with a nice swimming pool, and sun loungers available both at the pool and on the beach. The food and drink were fantastic, I'd particularly recommend the lobster and the Caiprihinas were the best I've ever tasted. The bungalow was spacious, with a warm shower, enough fans to keep you cool and a big, comfy bed. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was nicely decorated for Christmas.

“2 nights in Lakana Ramana”

We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our bungalow which was clean and comfortable. A very comfortable bed. We had breakfast which was very good and 2 evening meals which were delicious. There was a small swimming pool. We had access to the beach down a path. The staff were all very good Highly recommended and good location for local tours. We were taken to a lovely beach restaurant close by and the food was freshly cooked and delicious
