The position on the beach was great, even though this is not a surfing beach so if you want to surf you have to walk 15 min to Hiriketiya :) Great sunbeds to relax by the beach also provided. They are making a great effort to be sustainable by having option to refill water, solar panels etc. The highlight of our stay was the morning yoga lesson!

“Great Location. Friendly Staff.”

Excellent location. Right on Dickwella beach. Rooms were spacious and air conditioned. Bed had mosquito net which was necessary. Staff were very friendly and helped when I needed extra towels and hairdryer. Incense in the room added a special touch. Half an hour walk to Hiri beach which is where I spent most of my days.

Thibaut, Stef and the team are an absolute gem. Great customer service started after we'd just made the reservation on the app. We had a hassle and stress free process from the airport shuttle arrangement, room preparation, daily information on local and guide to attractions/activities, transportation to and from daily trips. We had the most amazing time in Dikwella and found the location to be even more amazing than the photos. The sunrise and sunset on the beach were absolutely breathtaking. This was the perfect location for our first leg of the holiday with short tuk tuk ride (under 5 mins) to Hiriketyia for surfing, but much preferred chilled beach time at the accomodation due to less crowding. Super inclusive activities like morning yoga, beach volley and board game nights that are all down to a great vibe created by the hotel team. Quiete, clean, friendly hotel, I loved staying there. The garden that give access to the beach is a perfect place for some relax. The staff is really friendly and smiling. The rooms are very curated, the bed is comfortable, and there is warm water in the bath. Probably one of the best place in Dickwella.

“Perfect stay”

Beautiful place which has the comfort of a hotel but the relaxed and friendly vibe of a hostel. I loved having breakfast in the garden full of palm trees with an amazing view of the ocean. Voulez vous also has sun beds on a semi-private part of Dickwella beach, which has a beautiful sunset view, and is much less crowded than Hiri beach (only a short walk away). The staff were lovely and the food was great. I can’t wait to come back to this special place.

“Nice place but pricey”

The location of Voulez Vous is fantastic, a private well maintained tropical garden with seating areas leads directly on to Dickwella Beach which is relatively unspoilt and uncrowded. Shaded sun beds are available free of charge. The room we had was adequate but for the price ($75 per night) it was no better equipped or appointed than other places that we have stayed in Sri Lanka for half or even a third of the price which (unlike Voulez Vous) included breakfast. We accept that the location may attract a premium but felt that it was overpriced.

“A well presented property in a beautiful location”

The location of the property was perfect for us. Dikwella Beach is lovely and the accommodation was right on the beach, only a short walk to the restaurants and cafes yet at the quieter end. The room itself was a good size and immaculately clean. The shared outdoor areas were nice, particularly the beach cabanas.

The location at the beach, less surfers than in Hirikiteya, so rather quiet, even though Hiri was not far.

“Beautiful location”

I loved the location. The outside area to the beach was amazing. I stayed in the dorm room and after many hostels, it was very nice to have such a spacious area again but for the same price as other hostels. Also everything was clean.

The location of Voulez-Vous is simply perfect. The beautiful garden where you can enjoy a beautiful breakfast and snacks throughout the day is the perfect chill spot. There are 3 double beds where you can stare out to the ocean whilst you drink your morning coffee. The rooms were perfectly adequate, which nice small touches but they were a bit tired overall. The offering of yoga and sound meditation in the beautiful shared space was a welcome plus and one of the highlights of my trip to Sri Lanka. The couple that offered this each day were lovely and provided the perfect start to the day. The staff were really friendly and very informative. The food we did try was really good! Especially the breakfast.

Amazing location that opens right out onto the beautiful Dikwella Beach. Really nice garden. Basic but characterful.

Spacious rooms and good air con Work space was easy to work from, good WiFi and lovely grounds.

Superb location at a relatively quiet beach. The hotel has a really nice vibe with well thought-out details, and the room was clean. It is run by French people and they have volunteers from other countries, as well as local workforce - everyone was nice and friendly. I also recommend taking the yoga class, besides they organize various other events.

“Great location but other things let it down”

Great location on a lovely beach, some good bars walking distance and then you have the bay over the other side. The room was big which was nice. The free toiletries noted was only shower gel but that was fine we brought our own anyway and we loved the smell of it.
