“A wonderful holiday”

The accommodation is located on a quiet street, where you cannot hear the sounds of the road or music from restaurants in the evenings. The hosts are very hospitable and care about your comfort. There is a cozy veranda from where monkeys can sometimes be seen. This place is close to beaches and cafés, but it is very cozy and relaxing.

The sweetest family runs this place ! The room is clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water and a lovely private outdoor space where a stunning breakfast is served every day. They also arranged a scooter for us ! I recommend this homestay, hands down !

I had an amazing stay at Venora Hiriketiya. The breakfasts were absolutely incredible, and Sam and his family were simply exceptional kind, welcoming, and always helpful. The property is about an 8-minute walk from the beach, in the perfect location: close enough to reach everything easily, yet far enough to enjoy complete peace and quiet. Next door there are two local families who run small restaurants where they prepare delicious homemade dishes upon request. A truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

“Excellent homestay in beautiful Hiriketiya”

Really cute homestay with a private patio/dining area which we loved. The hosts were very friendly and happily did our laundry for a good price. Excellent location being only a short walk to the beach, but very peaceful and quiet.

Tucked away, in a quiet road close to Hiriketiya Beach, this lovely, tiny, family run guest house is a real gem. Dileka & her family have created a friendly, comfortable room, with small private outside area. There’s no air con, but there’s a fan& barred window to open at night. Good mozzie net, tho saw v few! Good shower. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast included & a fridge to use. Nearby (10 mins walk) are the beach side bars & there are a couple of great eating places nearby.( lemon grass & garlic cafe)

Everything very convenient

Very clean. The outdoor area is very private, you have it all to yourself, so it's a nice place to relax. You have a fridge so you can keep some drinks or food cold. The family was accommodating and made my breakfast early so I could surf. The food was very tasty. Location is a close walk to the beach.

The room was comfortable and clean and only a 10min walk from the beach! Breakfast was delicious every morning and the family was incredibly kind and accomodating. Would definitely recommend.

Great location, very close to beach and restaurants. Everything was clean. Very good hearty breakfast. Lovely people who run it . Good value given location. Wifi worked well..

To get to the homestay you have to walk up a hill, but tuktuk did manage to get up there. There is walking distance to both the beach and good restaurants. The room was modern and you have your own outsize area. But the room could get humid and there was not any good place to put your stuff on except from on the floor. The family is very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good.

Really nice room, everything was newly renovated so everything was in really nice conditions! Really clean bathroom and the room also comes with your own garden which was amazing! The staff was really helpful with everything from booking a taxi to everything you need! The breakfast was amazing she would ask you everyday what you want and you get so much food!

“Cute little spot up a hill”

Felt very looked after by our host. Different type of traditional Sri Lankan breakfast each day. Swept the outside area whilst we were out. Supported us to get a tuktuk on departure as the rain had caused a booking surge and online booking was difficult. Lots of roaming monkeys around and loads of fireflies make for a really authentic local experience. Facilities were great for the cost. Good sized fridge and plenty of seating outside. High quality mosquito net. Bed was really comfy. Power socket with an extension worked for our needs. Lovely coffee shops and restaurants to both the left and the right of the main road. The beach is not much further along.

Nice room with your own garden. Very nice host. Good breakfast.
