“Mango and Coco and Cashew!”

The feeling of the hostel with kind people and gentle animals is just so lovely. It has all you need; a kitchen, comfortable seating inside and out, warm water if you need.... And it is so well placed for the bus. Obviously, everything in Hiriketiya is walkable but it is also nice that Dikwella is so close too. We couldn't ask for more, especially after I left my ear buds and Venera so kindly contacted me to say so. Very kind.

I stayed at Coco Mango Hostel for quite a few weeks, first in December, and then I decided to return again in May because of the wonderful generosity and kindness of the owners.❤️ From the very beginning, the place felt welcoming, clean, tidy, and very well taken care of. Everything was functioning perfectly, and it was clear that a lot of love and attention goes into keeping the hostel comfortable for guests! One of the highlights is definitely the amazing kitchen, which makes it easy to feel at home. The whole team was helpful, friendly, and always available when needed. The dorms are comfortable and equipped with fans, which makes them manageable, and there is also air conditioning in the mixed dorms upstairs. I also had the chance to stay in one of the private rooms, and at the end of my stay I booked the deluxe room, which was incredibly comfortable and had everything I needed, and even more. And of course, Coco, Mango and Cashew, the animals of the hostel, are the absolute stars of the place. They truly feel like they are running the hostel and make the atmosphere even more memorable. 🫶 I would definitely recommend Coco Mango Hostel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly, and welcoming place to stay. I would and will happily come back again!

“Such a welcoming, warm and peaceful hostel”

I loved my whole stay there! I was in the female dorm for a night, the bed is confortable and there is a fan for each bed so I was not hot at all. Then got upgraded to the AC room and stayed there weeks! The staff is so nice and welcoming, we did a lot of social activities and everyone was fun. I also connected with the local family next door and it was so special 🥰 the animals are adding to the warmth of the place!! Very happy to have met Venera and Nikita the owners, they created a wonderful place 🩷 I would come back for sure

I haven't stayed at the hostal. They cancelled at the last moment due to overbooking.

I loved that everyone at the hostel is super kind and it feels like home being there, also going to dinner together ❤️

I cannot fault my stay at Coco Mango hostel! I couldn't help but extend my stay and could have easily done more so! By far my favourite, most comfortable stay in Sri Lanka, it seems to attract like minded, lovely people and has a wonderful warm energy. The owner is an incredibly kind and accommodating host, with genuine care towards the guests. Full of legends! Can't rate the hostel enough.

The location is quiet and calm and it is more a homestay than a hostel, which I really liked.

Highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay at Coco Mango Hostel and can honestly say it was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka. It really feels like a home: it felt relaxed, personal, and genuinely warm! The owner is an incredibly kind, inspiring person. We truly enjoyed the conversations with him, as well as the facilities and the overall vibe of the hostel. You can feel the care that goes into this place. Our private room was clean and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. Breakfast is optional and donation-based, which is a thoughtful concept. The location is great; within easy walking distance of the beach, and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants and coffee spots. Hopefully our paths will cross again someday ✨🐕🐇🐈

“Amazing hostel in Hiriketija :)”

Amazing hostel in Hiriketiya, perfectly located between two beautiful beaches: Hiriketiya and Dikwella. Everything is really clean! I stayed in a private room and the bed was extremely comfortable. The host is incredibly kind and caring. He has three adorable pets—a cat, a dog, and a rabbit—which made the stay even more special. The hostel also collaborates with an excellent driver who can help organize tours and excursions around Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!
