“Beautiful location and welcoming host”

The location is fantastic. The rooms offer direct sea views and the resort has its own private beach at Dikwella Beach, complete with free sun loungers. We were here in March and were practically the only people on the beach; every day you can decide whether you want to enjoy an affordable and delicious breakfast. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Baby turtles are released into the sea almost every other day. It’s a 20-minute walk to Hiriketiya, or just under 300 LKR by tuk-tuk.

“Quiet and peaceful place to stay in Dickwella”

Right on the beach and very close to shops and town. There is a turtle hatchery at this place and they let us release some baby turtles back into the sea which was wonderful.

It’s right on the beach

Our room was on the first floor , we had a lovely view of the beach through the trees. There were sun beds readily available . We even managed to get our laundry done at a reasonable price. At this hotel the owner also hatched turtle eggs and released them at 17.30 . It was amazing to see. When we left he offered to give us a lift to our next hotel at a very good rate.

Amazing location right at the beach. Lovely host who doesn’t only take care of his guests but also saves baby turtles by collecting the eggs and setting them free once they hatch. One of the most beautiful things we ever saw! Thank you for a great stay!

“Beautiful location. Very clean accommodation.”

Our room was spotlessly clean. One of the cleanest room during our stay in Sri Lanka. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was very good and quiet. The hosts were lovely and gave us King Coconut and watermelon juice. We only had breakfast on one day and it was good. Best of all was the amazing location. Steps away from the most beautiful beach. We watched our host release baby turtles while the sun was setting on our first evening which was a lovely sight

Everything. It was clean, the room is spacious, the view to the seaside and palmtrees is amazing, the AC works, hot water for shower. Dolores is very friendly and willing to help, we really appreciated it! I wish we stayed more days

The hotel is located right at a beautiful, quiet stretch of the beach, perfect to relax away from the masses. The room was comfortable and clean, with a nice warm water shower. The staff, Dolores, was very welcoming and gave us a lot of tips for restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Amazing location practically on the beach , The beach was long and not over populated. And a short walk to a safe swimming spot

The best thing about this hotel is the sea view. Waking up and seeing the ocean right away is something special. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable.

Exceptional have booked another 3 nights. So few places you can walk straight to a beautiful quiet beach without any gates. They are adding more rooms and facilities each year so its a bargain now.

“Great service, beautiful location”

We had an amazing stay at Moonlight Beach Resort in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with incredible warmth and friendliness. Throughout our stay we were treated so well — from fresh coconuts and delicious coffee to delightful coconut pancakes that were absolutely delicious! The location is stunning, right by the sea, with views that make the whole experience even more special. We would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Truly a beautiful and unforgettable stay! 😍

“Great peaceful place, just in front of the beach”

If you want tranquillity, this is a great place, literally on the beach. It's also next to a yoga retreat place, where you can drop-in for morning classes. On the beach you can also find a surf school.

“Not quite ready”

It is beach-front although not particularly accessible or tidy. The rooms were clean, with lovely four-poster beds. The air conditioning worked fantastically. Ample parking.
