“Quiet area walking distance from town & beach”
Everything!! The pool was amazing and was a perfect little area to chill. The breakfast was honestly the best we had in our 2 weeks Sri Lanka! The room was spacious and cool 😇 the place is only 10 mins walking to hiriketeya beach and the walk is so nice!

“Short & Sweet”
I loved that it was a family run place. With a great pool for guests. They also provided slightly different traditional breakfast variations each day. It was a very short walk to the main strip. But far enough that it was nice and quiet for a good nights rest. They also had a lovely book swap area. I was able to get a lonely planets guide to SriLanka which helped me plan the rest of my stay.

Indunil and the staff were great. There was an issue with our booking and they helped us find somewhere close by for the night and let us use the pool. The new rooms are really nice. Breakfast was excellent. It’s a bit of a walk to Hiriketiya beach but not that bad, even for us with two young kids. Or a $2 TukTuk which you more than save than staying closer to the beach. Our kids loved the pool!

Amazing pool, so clean and warm! Delicious, rich breakfast. Very nice and friendly family. The room was fresh and spotless. You can see monkeys in the trees and on roofs.

“Great homestay but small rooms”
Nice calm homestay 15 minutes walking from the beach and the center. Quiet area and nice pool. The city is facing regular power outages which broke the AC in our room. The owners however made sure that we can stay in an air conditioned room, so we were moved to another homestay for one night until the AC got fixed.

Absolutely fantastic stay – we couldn’t have asked for more. This place is perfect for families with children. The large swimming pool was stunning, spotlessly clean, and carefully maintained every day. The atmosphere was peaceful, friendly, and very safe for kids. The location is quiet and relaxing, yet just a short distance from the beach. Breakfasts were very good and generous; although the selection didn’t change much, everything was fresh and tasty. We truly enjoyed the lovely outdoor seating area, ideal for relaxing at any time of day. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. We would gladly return and highly recommend this accommodation.

“Lovely hosts, beautiful accommodation, great breakfast, what more could you want?”
We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was very spacious with excellent air conditioning and a lovely view over the pool. Breakfasts were delicious and a real highlight each morning. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and generous — they truly treated us like family. They gave us fresh fruit and smoothies, invited us to a BBQ they were having one night and gave us fresh fish and crabs, and we even sang karaoke together, which was so much fun. When they saw how much our son loved fishing (and that he wasn’t having much luck), they kindly took my husband and son fishing including arranging transport and getting bait. The location is perfect: peaceful and away from the noise and hustle and bustle, yet close enough to easily walk to the beach and town. Great value for money, amazing hosts, and a truly memorable stay — we loved it and would absolutely return. Highly recommended!

Very good location – about 10 minutes’ walk to the beach Affordable price for the accommodation Laundry service was a big plus: very good price, clothes were washed very well, and the service was fast Second area across the road with a pool and sunbeds had a much nicer and more relaxing atmosphere
