Perfect location surrounded by wildlife and close to the beach

This place is stunning, lots of beautiful nature around and really close to the beach. We loved having some space to ourselves, lounging in the hammock and outside space. The air conditioning is nice and cool and the bed is comfortable and clean. It's got a fridge and a little kitchen too, which was great. The owners are so nice and we're there for us whenever we needed them. This has been our best accommodation so far in Sri Lanka. We'll be back on our next visit 💙

“Magik”

The house is so private with no neighbours.. you’re in a magical jungle a couple of minutes from the beach and you’re completely in nature.. we had around 300 monkeys visit us one morning there we’re doing some jazz Hands cartwheels putting on a show but maybe we was lucky… this place is Magik.. it’s very simple I love the simple life.. really good for a couple it is dark at night.. I wouldn’t recommend a woman sleeping there alone.. but other than that, it is perfect…

Beautiful Villa in Hiriketiya , a true hidden gem! The host was super friendly and checked in daily to see if we needed anything. Perfect location as it is just a 1 minute walk to the beach and the main streets of Hiriketiya, while also being private and having a jungle feel , surrounded with wild life. 10/10 would highly recommend 👌

I had an unforgettable stay at Freedom Villa Hiriketiya. The cabin is absolutely stunning, nestled right in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by monkeys, crabs, and even turtles – a truly surreal experience. It offers a genuine connection to peace and nature, while still providing all the comforts you need, including a kitchen, air conditioning, and a fridge. The host is kind and caring, always making sure everything is perfect. One of my favorite parts was the hammock – I could spend hours lying there, listening to the waves and watching the monkeys swing through the treetops. A magical place for anyone looking to escape, relax, and reconnect with nature. Highly recommended!

“Good stay for a couple nights”

The location was great - close to the beach but you also have privacy, lots of wild animals close by, we saw two water monitor lizards (they are massive) and lots of moneys, it was really nice :)

It was quite hard to find the property on maps as the maps couldn't fully identify where it is. I'd recommend the host give a few more details to help direct e.g. pass this restaurant and then turn right

“The real chill in Hiriketiya”

Very nice Host, just 100m to the beach, you’re basically alone in the jungle .. quiet, clean & comfortable 🙏🏼

The house has everything needed, a comfy bed, air con, a small kitchen to cook simple menus and a shower with good water pressure. It is located only 2 min from the beach and directly in the jungle. We could see monkeys, leguans and crabs at night, which was very nice and exciting. The host is also very nice, he drove us to a docotor when we needed one and organised our trip to Kandy for a good price. I can definitely recommend this house for nature loving people that want to be close to the beach.

“Jungle home by the beach”

We really liked the location - being right in the jungle despite being just 1 min walk from the beach. We were able to sit and watch the wildlife (lizards, monkeys, turtles) from the hammock and then wander to the beach for a swim. The hammock was really comfy to laze in and the bed was big and perfect for a good night's sleep. We appreciated having a fridge and small kitchen to be able to make a few dishes at home and also found the room to be well equipped (with table, lockable cupboard and a clothes rail). We also loved the delicious local breakfasts made by the hosts.

We loved our Stay at the Freedomhouse! The Location is just ideal if you want to be on your own and surrounded by nature but also super close (100meter) to the Beach to go surfing or chill and just around the corner to many restaurants and massageplaces! You can also watch some pretty cool animals from the hammock on the terrace. The owners were super kind and polite and checked in on us from time to time. We were even allowed to stay a bit longer before checkin out and got a super friendly taxi driver organised who brought us to Uluwalawa. We loved everything there and would definitely come again!

“Cottage close to beach”

Cute cottage in the jungle, just one minute away from Hiriketiya beach. A/C is installed and can be used for an additional charge. Monkeys and squirrels roam the area during the day and turtles and crabs in the night. Friendly host!
