We weren’t planning on coming to Dikwella but our itinerary changed and we’re so glad we did. Casa Smeralda is such a magical, peaceful place. Amazing to be away from the crowds after Ella, which was full of people! We wish we had stayed here longer and hope to return in the future. Heavenly! We walked 10 minutes to Turtle Point and saw turtles. The staff were lovely. Amazing pizzas and drinks. 10/10

“Relaxing an beautiful getaway”

Location was great. It is a small accommodation at a beach with some accommodations and restaurants. It feels very quiet which makes the experience great. Loved the spacious rooms and bath rooms. The sun beds on the beach were great and had shadow as well. We found the food at the restaurant great as well. One night we ate at the sister hotel at the beach. It was a great experience as well. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

“Come for the view stayed longer for the coffee😍”

We booked this location because it was so close to the beach but booked some more nights because of the amazing coffee and food. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious, clean and have all the facilities you want in a room. Would definitely recommend staying here, we even booked an extra night here and stayed for 4 nights in the end. When you come definitely go for breakfast, lunch and coffee here.

Lovely room and bathroom with patio looking towards sea. Fab breakfast and exceptional staff … especially the bar manager who couldn’t do enough to help. Lovely open restaurant area and good coffee. Food lovely ,if expensive by Sri Lanka standards. Sun beds on beach in the day and lovely atmosphere in the evening when tables and torches on the beach along with lights… Pool available too although we didn’t use it , it would be great if you had kids.

The location is amazing, right on the family-friendly Dikwella Beach and only a short tuk tuk ride from the busy Hiriketiya. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant has the best pizza’s of Sri Lanka - I highly recommend Casa Smeralda to everyone.

Only some few rooms, hence not at all crowed in the pool and on the beach. A perfect place if one wants to avoid the masses over in other towns down south. Good sized room. Nice staff.

“Perfect family beach sanctuary.”

Amazing four days on the beach. Two huge interconnecting rooms on the top floor with own balcony overlooking the beach and two modern bathrooms. The beds were comfy, the sheets luxe and lovely bathroom + pools towels. The rooms were cleaned daily. The staff were lovely, the breakfast delicious, the coffee was great, and dining on the beach by candlelight while eating authentic Italian pizza and sipping a wine was perfect. The beach was quiet, clean, expansive and we loved sitting in the beach chairs or swing reading books. The pool is also massive if you want a break from the idyllic beach with surf lessons, board hire and sparkling clean water. It's a 5 min Tuk Tuk to busy Hiri beach, a 5 min walk to swim with the turtles, and a 13 min beach walk to town and a grocery shop. Loved, loved, loved our stay!

“Great staff and location”

Everything was perfect. Staff amazing and so lovely with our children. They totally made it. Amazing dinner with candles on beach. Such a lovely clean location. So close to walk to hiriketiya but so nice to be in a quiet spot. Great surfing wave and lessons for our children with no other people on the wave. Indya says it was wonderful and thank you to all the staff who played tennis and cricket on the beach with her.

Beautyfull rooms, the staff is very friendly, we even played volleyball together, which we really apprecieated.

Very high quality Hotel/room, we booked a deluxe room overlooking the garden wished we booked the room overlooking the sea. The stock for excellent, went out of their way to make my partners birthday very special . Moved the table onto the beach for breakfast and decorated the table with birthday wishes . Owner Daria personally came to say hello to us on the evening we arrived, she wasn’t there when we first arrived earlier that day.

Lovely big room, quite clean, great shower, great restaurant. The room looks right out onto the sea. It was nice and quiet at this time of year.
