“Good location, within walking distance to the beach”

I really appreciated the air conditioner, which was absolutely necessary in the extremely hot weather. It made the stay much more comfortable and allowed me to relax despite the heat outside.

The sweetest home stay in Hiriketya. We absolutely loved it! The owners are very sweet and welcoming. They attended to our every need. A huge plus is that there are no mosquitoes in or around the accompanying at all.

Staying at this family-run homestay in Hiriketiya was very Sweet. The house is just a stone’s throw from the beach – you fall asleep to the gentle sound of the ocean and wake up in total peace. It’s quiet and calm, yet everything is just a short walk away. What made it truly magical, though, was the beautiful family that welcomed us. Their baby girl, Gaguli Unara, is an absolute angel – only a few weeks old and already full of light and sweetness. Being surrounded by this loving energy made our stay feel deeply grounding and connected. Hiriketiya has changed so much in recent years – it’s grown, it’s busier – but staying here, with a local family, brought back the authentic charm that originally drew people to this place and what seems to be forgotten down the road. I was especially touched by how sweet and caring they were with my own baby boy – they treated us with so much kindness and warmth. If you’re looking for a more soulful and genuine experience in Hiriketiya, this is the place. Thank you for everything.

Really nice family and beautiful lush green garden around the house. The room is simple but very clean with a comfortable bed, fan and private bathroom with a good shower.

“Just a privelege indeed …”

The location was easy to get to walking into the village and to the beach. Some of the roads however were in poor condition. Our hosts Sudath and Danesha with their nephew Assan, were the most charming friendly family and we were privileged to meet their new baby, born during our stay. We tasted Grandma’s traditional home cooked breakfasts and we chatted to all the family trying to learn sri lankan words. Isthuthi lovely family !

Super hosts and overall good

“Good location, nice garden, cute animals+ fireflies”

The most welcoming hosts. Location is great too, very close to the beach. Our child enjoyed so much playing in the garden with their adorable small cat and dog, we all did. We also saw lots of fireflies next to the house, for the first time and it was just magical.

The room was perfect, spacious and even had warm water! The place itself is very nice and the owners are lovely, we got breakfast every morning which was super good and they also helped in arranging a transfer back to the airport. Staying here a little bit more than two weeks we also gained the affection of the house cat and the dog, who would sometimes wait for us in the night on the road to escort us back home!

“Paradise in nature”

The family running the house is very nice. Everything is clean and tidy and you are surrounded by nature. The beach is a short 2-3 minute walk. The rooms and beds are very confortable and they are completely covered with a mosquito net. Bathrooms are private which is a big plus.

Very friendly family, who are running the homestay. The room is very simple, but enough. It's very close located to the surf beach Hiriketiya.
