“Fabulous quiet location with an exceptional and attentive host and family.”

The owner (Ivonne) arranged taxi transport from the airport to the accommodation and greeted us on arrival at the guest house. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Ivonne arranged a very reasonable car hire which was perfect for our 12 night stay. We were able to see all of the main attractions in Antigua using Dickenson Bay as our base. On quiet days we sat around the lovely pool. The view from our first floor apartment was exceptional and the sunsets were spectacular. There were shops nearby (by car) for any food or essential items and the local restaurant (House of Bo) was a real find. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in a safe, clean and well positioned location in Antigua, I can't think of a better spot.

Everything really, had everything that we needed, great size balcony with doors from the kitchen and bedroom. We had room 5 on the 1st floor which gave us privacy and great views. Run by an Italian family who are warm and welcoming. Yvonne speaks excellent English, she is the main contact but her mum & nan are on site keeping everything clean. Nice size pool with sunbeds. You definitely need a car to explore the island which Yvonne arranged for us. Great restaurant in walking distance which was very useful.

Location! Beautiful views of the azur blue sea and arriving cruise ships. The fact that there was a pool with deckchairs. The offer of a clean every day. Friendly family running the place.

This was one of the best holiday stays that we have had. Immaculately clean (and cleaned every day if you want). Good location, not far from St John’s or the airport. It is set high up so has fantastic views and sunsets. Well kitted with a good size kitchen and bedroom. Really nice outdoor area private for the apartment. Lovely pool, shared between 7 apartments but rarely busy. Free parking for hire car (a hire car makes the overall stay on Antigua a lot easier!) Ivonne and her family (and cats) are always on hand to help or answer any questions (but not at all intrusive)

A clean, comfortable, well-appointed self-catering apartment with fantastic views over the island toward the west coast and fantastic sunsets. Our hosts, Ivonne and her team, were lovely - really helpful with contacts for taxis, a hire car and advice on where to visit, eat out and local shopping/amenities. The apartment's kitchen was well-appointed with a fridge/freezer, gas hob, microwave, toaster and kettle, plus plenty of pans, crockery and utensils etc. to prepare and cook pretty much anything. The kitchen island had seating for both of us and an outdoor patio area provided a table and chairs (Perfect for al-fresco breakfasts or evening sun-downers), as well as two sun loungers. A larger terraced area with more sun loungers and a swimming pool to the front of the property offers great views over the island toward the western coast. Because there are only a small number of apartments, Belvedere Holiday Home is a calm and peaceful place - perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Several beautiful beaches - including Dickenson Bay, Fort James Beach and Runaway Beach - are within walking distance (1.5 - 2.0 miles away) of Belvedere but there are not many proper/continuous pavements, so you might want to hire a car. If you do hire a car, we recommend a 4x4 to cope with the high number of seriously big potholes on the island's roads.
