“Perfect place to end our honeymoon with utter relaxation!”

We had the most wonderful six nights at the Maji after a week on safari, and it was phenomenal from top to bottom. It was my first time coming to a small boutique beachfront property and the relaxed vibes, privacy, and personalised service were such a treat. The luxurious waterfront cabanas are spacious and comfortable (with no pushing for beach beds like at larger hotels!), the food was insanely good (we were on half board but the enormous breakfast and three course dinner were more than enough!), and the balcony from our room (room 6) was the best for reading and relaxing. This place manages to be so chic and tastefully decorated while being extremely low key and never stuffy: you can’t help but be completely zoned out from reality while here enjoying the hospitality. Massive shoutout to Jackson, Duncan, Caroline and Zippy for taking such good care of us throughout our trip. From kindly posting our postcards to arranging our airport transfers to exchanging our cash for shillings, nothing was too much for the team. Would come back in a heartbeat and will remember this haven of bliss and relaxation for a long time.

Maji Beach Hotel felt like a true little paradise – a beautiful, cosy oasis that’s incredibly quiet and idyllic, perfect for fully switching off. Everything was organized seamlessly from the very beginning: the airport pick-up was smooth, luggage handling effortless, check-in quick, and even room service worked perfectly — exactly how you imagine a stress-free vacation. Because it’s a small boutique hotel with only a few rooms, the team is exceptionally attentive. Everyone knows you by name and you feel genuinely cared for. Every single staff member was outstandingly kind and professional (including the managers, who were always present and genuinely invested in making our stay as comfortable as possible). We had full board and the food was outstanding – every meal freshly prepared, with a delicious 3-course menu to choose from à la carte each time. Asante sana, Maji!

The property looks exactly as it’s listed . A few areas needs touch ups but it’s okay The staff are the best I have met so far in my travels . They take care of you. The location beachfront is superb !

The hotel is cozy and very stylish, the food is incredibly delicious. The place looks much nicer in real life than in the photos. Compared to Nomad , it's much better and worth the money.

Cosy hotel with easy access to the beach and other areas in Diani. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the ‘no rules’ policy with regards to eating time. The 24hr service was a great touch.

The service was top-notch! Breakfast was amazing. Dinner the same. Menu was well curated and meals were well cooked and absolutely delicious.

Fantastic setting, wonderful rooms and pool that sweeps around this great Boutique Hotel. All the staff were excellent and friendly, they clearly enjoyed their jobs as well as excellent training. The Chef made fantastic meals, including Tuna carpaccio and Lobstwr Thermidor. Fantastic Hotel!

Lovely personal feel to the hotel. Staff were genuinely the most attentive and nice in our whole 3 weeks travelling. The beach is also immaculate. The food was also amazing and really helped the stay feel special. The hotel even went as far as surprising us with a bottle of bubbly on our final eve to help us celebrate our honeymoon which was really thoughtful and we really appreciated. Couldn't recommend it enough.

The service was excellent, felt professional but homely as well. Food was spot on and if we asked for anything in addition it didn't feel like a chore. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

The Maji Boutique Hotel is incredible. If you lucky enough to find availability just book it, you wont regret it! If you dont like big crowds and if you prefer individuality, this is the place. Everything was excellent; we loved the fresh food, ability to eat at your leisure, the freshly baked breads in the morning, the exquisite location right on the beach, the amazing pool around the rooms of the hotel, the unique local art in every corner on every wall, the stunning customised furniture, the peaceful atmosphere, the privacy as there is only 16 rooms; and the excellent service from the amazing staff who felt like family by the time we left - from the owner, the management, the waiters to even the back of house staff, the pool cleaner, the security, the room cleaners, everyone was so amazing and friendly!! Oh and the deep tissue massage was actually perfect. We spent 6 nights here and wish it could have been longer. We dont usually travel to the same place twice but for sure this is going to be one place we will definately come back to. Couldnt recommend this boutique hotel enough

“A Luxurious Stay”

I can't thank the staff at the Maji enough for all of the ways they made my time with them so wonderful. Communication before and during my visit was excellent, especially when I had to deal with travel delays due to awful weather. They went out of their way to make my birthday a very special occasion. The large room was perfect, and I even enjoyed a relaxing soaking bath. Meals were served with excellent and attentive service, and the beach beds were made with care and comfort.

Everything! Unique property with amazing attention to detail. Right on the beach with plenty of luxurious cabanas. Staff went above and beyond- nothing was too much trouble- very friendly and attentive but not over bearing. Food was cooked to order and lovely. And you also get to watch turtles hatching! All in all a fantastic experience.
