Nestled in an indigenous coastal forest with a garden and a palm-fringed beach, Nomad Beach Resort is located in Ukunda. It features an outdoor pool, a spa area and restaurants. The spacious accommodations are individually designed and combine mahagony furniture with Swhaili design. Each room is fitted with a minibar and air conditioning. Featuring a shower, private bathrooms also come with a hairdryer and towels. Some of the rooms have a spa bath. A tropical breakfast is served at the main restaurant, which is also open for lunch and dinner. There is a sushi bar and a pizzeria. Cocktails, refreshments and snacks can be enjoyed at the pool bar. Other facilities at The Sands include a watersport centre, a fitness centre, a 24-hour front desk, a gift shop and a tour desk. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving and snorkelling. An 18-hole golf course is located 2 km from the hotel. “Best place for a beach holiday!”
Great location, swimming is possible even at low tide. The beach is stunning, you can go for long walks. Beautiful, comfortable rooms. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great beachfront restaurant.

This is the perfect location on a beautiful quiet beach, with, or close to, many amenities. The sea facing villas are amazing and well equipped and comfortable. Three great restaurant options, as well as room service on your private veranda (although keep an eye out for the fast monkeys)! Another attraction is the area of forest around Nomad, owned and protected by Nomad, with fascinating guides. With more and more development along the coast destroying the forest, I will go back to Nomad because of their care for this sacred space (as well as all the other benefits already mentioned!).

“Loved it”
The staff were amazing. They were always checking on me to make sure that I'm doing ok. The room was huge, much bigger than what I was expecting. I had an entire patio for myself with a hot tub and a view of the sea. It's one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. It was a nice touch to be visited by monkeys while sitting on the balcony. The food quality from the restaurant was also really nice.

“The Nomad was over-rated as a resort and did not feel like a five star hotel”
The staff at the resort were extremely helpful and went above and beyond, especially when we required medical assistance. They checked in with us to see how we were and ensured that we were comfortable.

Beautiful boutique hotel, in a fabulous location (beautiful beach!) with wonderful food. We really loved the staff who were all so friendly and went to so much trouble to make all guests feel welcome and well looked after. I really recommend it, we will be back!

Beautiful, charming, friendly place in fantastic beachfront location. Comfortable beds. Good air-con. We stayed twice, before and after a safari - once in the ocean view suite, once in the beach cottage. While the suite was very spacious and had a huge beachfront terrace, we liked the beach cottage even better. Great staff. Scuba diving on premise. Excellent beachfront restaurant, fantastic breakfast. We walked the whole of Diani beach and did not identify any other hotel and any other restaurant that looked better and that we might want to try. If we go back to Diani, we will return.
