Bishnu and his family are lovely people that really go out of their way to make you feel at home. Unfortunately, we were sick from bad food in Kathmandu, and they really looked after us like we were family during our stay. Wish them all the best in the future!

“Retreat from the city with a lovely family”

This is an all inclusive option great to retreat from the city, rest after trekking or simply to learn more about the local way of life. I was mostly focusing on my online work (excellent wifi by the way) while staying here, but you can work on the farm with the family, go hiking around or to nearby towns. The homegrown and homemade food is amazing, nothing tastes better! The family is incredibly kind, they made me feel like home, accommodated my vegan diet and were teaching me more about Nepal and their culture.

“Best farm stay to unwind”

Our host family were awesome, friendly, attentive, allowed us to get involved with milking and feeding the cows, meal prep (momo making, potato peeling). We wandered around the area, with the house dog at our heels, she was an immediate friend. We were shown around the local farm by a local who couldn't speak English but didn't matter, she was lovely. The locals were so friendly and welcoming. Was the best place to unwind, be with a family, eat Nepalise food, enjoy the country.

“Beautiful views, great family”

Very friendly family! All inclusive meals and tea. We loved the view, the hiking routes nearby, the beautiful rooftop and seating area where we took our meals and the helpfulness of Bishnu and his wife. They also provided us with a very affordable taxi service to any nearby sites. The highlight was definitely the farm tour. So stunning! We milked cows, learned about sustainable farming and enjoying stunning views. If you're on a hiking holiday and looking for a nice affordable stay, this is a great option for you.

“Warm, Welcoming, Relaxing, Thank you!”

It was a home away from home environment. Such good vibes and friendly, warm welcoming host family you stay in their home overlooking a giant valley with amazing views towards the Himalayas like Langtang on clear days. Food was delicious especially dal baht! I absolutely loved my room but just a note rooms don’t have ensuite bathroom it’s a shared situation but upstairs and downstairs have bathrooms. I felt very comfortable at Patlekhet Farmhouse; the whole family were very welcoming. I enjoyed touring the farm, and all the food was delicious. It was wonderful to share traditions and meals with the family as well as with other travellers staying there. I was lucky to visit when the weather was clear so I could enjoy some stunning views of the mountains.

My time at Patlekhet Eco Farmhouse was truly unforgettable. Bishnu and his family's warm hospitality made me feel instantly at home. It's an incredible place to immerse yourself in Permaculture, experience authentic Nepali family life, and savor some of the country's most delicious home-cooked meals. During my stay, I walked to the Namobuddha Monastery, learned how to make momos, and even milked a cow! The farmhouse's idyllic setting, coupled with comfortable accommodations, provided the perfect respite after a month of trekking.

We had 3 unbelievable days with Bischnu, Kalpana and their two sons.The whole village is heartwarming and neighbours are so kind and welcoming. We were lucky to have our stay during Dashain and the family took us with them as family members, explained every tradition and even provided with traditional celebration clothing for the 10th day of Dashain. A true highlight for our kids! Besides this the food is amazing and we could help out by the preparations. Bischnu also explained the core principles of permaculture, which they use for the farmhouse. It was very interesting and inspiring. Cherry on the top: our kids could milk the cow in the morning and we could fly kites from the rooftop of the farmhouse! AND the views are breathtaking: the rice fields on one side, the mountain range on the other when they dare to sh es ow themselves.

This is the best farmhouse stay, run by a great family. All the food is delicious and so fresh and grown on the farm. You will learn a lot about the daily life on a local farm.

I had a wonderful time, the family took such great care about me and they were always available for any questions I had. I especially went there because I am interested in the farming practices, so it was just perfect for me. It is a beautiful place in nature and during your stay you will be fully part of their family and sharing delicious meals.

“Wonderful and nourishing Nepali village experience!”

Staying in Patlekhet Eco Farmhouse is not “just staying” somewhere, but offers a real Nepali experience. We felt welcome like we were invited as family. Bishnu and his wife are doing their utmost best to make your stay as warm and special as possible. The fresh, organic food from the land nourished us multiple times a day. Also, we had the opportunity to speak about Nepali culture and truly live the village life here, learn about permaculture and enjoy some of the religious sights that are close by. We were especially lucky to celebrate the Nepali new year together! We wore Nepali dresses and suits, made momo’s together and danced to celebrate. It was un unforgettable time that could only be offered from the heart! The heart of this family is special, thank you for everything!

Originally i had only planned to stay for three nights at the Farmhouse of the Tiwari family. But after I arrived at this idyllic place and got to know Bishnu, Kalpana, Bibek and Binayak, I knew that I will stay longer. In the end I stayed over a week and it was such a lovely, relaxing and interesting time. The house is located in a beautiful village, surrounded by terrace fields and abundant with different bird species. I was welcomed as a part of the family and experienced local life and culture. Every day I was treated with local dishes, made mostly with homegrown ingredients, and all of them were delicious! Bishnu showed me around the farm on a two hour tour, took me to the local milk collection center, the village rice mill, to springs around the village, milking their cows and to see some honeybees. I celebrated Shivaratri at the local Shiva temple with the family and experienced the celebration of their ancestors. When i wanted to relax i enjoyed my time in the beautiful yard, on the rooftop with perfect views of the Himalayas or strolling around the village, talking to locals. One can walk in 1,5 hours to Namobuddha monastery, go to Dhulikel or visit a waterfall nearby. If you want to relax, eat well, experience nepali culture, talk to locals or just be in a beautiful surrounding - this place is for you! I am very thankful for the hospitality of this family and i‘m sure that the memory of this place will stay with me for a long time. Thank you!

All was just great. Very warm welcome, everyone in the family made us feel at home once we arrived at the homestay. Bishnu gave us a nice tour of the village, Bibek and Raju showed us around to a lovely waterfall and a cave. Kalpana prepared delicious dishes and treated us to tasty massala milk tea. Binayak organises everything perfectly and manages all the booking and promotes the farmstay in the internet. It's just a lovely place to stay if you look for tranquility, local contacts, good organic food, a place where you can work with the family on their fields, visit the Namobuddha monastery, chat on the beautiful rooftop terrace, enjoy sunrise and sunset and sit or dance around the bonfire in the evening. Its the perfect homestay experience and we would love to come back. Thanks too all. 😀

“Authentic village stay”

If you want to be part of an authentic village for one or two weeks, the house of Bishmu en Kalpana and their 2 big sons are excellent. Everybody knows them and they know everybody.. Children of the village like to play around their house, and also they like to invite you to their homes Or into their games. The family is willing to tell you a lot of stories, if you inquire. And bring you to wonderfull places nearby the village.

This family has really been such a blessing to me… Hard to believe that such beautiful heart level connection is possible to form within a week..I felt comfortable, as if I were a part of their family. They took the best care of me, observing my habits and making sure my day is as easy and pleasant as possible, they taught me as much as they could about their village, farming and life. They even took me on trips every day. Patlekhet is truly a hidden gem. I feel as though I have always been visualizing and searching for such a place my whole life. Unbelievable nature and atmosphere. The people of the village are incredibly warm and lovely, the children are so charming and uplifting, always inviting you to join their play and dancing for you.. Such a gorgeous food, all local and fresh. Milk, rice, spices, potatoes, greens from their farm and garden. Prepared with love and care.. This experience left me feeling so grateful, relaxed and loved.. Thank you infinite times for your pure generous hearts ♥️♥️♥️
