We had such an amazing time at Hanifaru Transit Inn! The owner, Ahmed, was super kind and helpful – he told us everything we needed to know about the island. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a fresh coconut, which was such a nice touch. The room was very clean and smelled really nice. The bed was huge, and we slept so well! The breakfast was Maldivian and honestly the best breakfast we had on any of the islands we visited! We got both sweet and savory options and could try everything. It was always so filling, and I looked forward to it every morning. The rest of the staff were always smiling and happy to help, answering all our questions and taking great care of us. One of the big perks was the fridge downstairs with unlimited bottles of water that we could grab anytime during the day. It was perfect because we didn’t have to look for shops just to buy water. We could also make coffee or tea whenever we wanted. The room was cleaned every day, and the towels were changed every second day. Communication with Ahmed on WhatsApp was quick and easy. I really recommend this place, and I hope we’ll be back someday!

“Great stay at a great island.”

Nice family run hotel. Very helpfull personell. They will take good care of you here! Highly recommended. They have also a boat so you can do excursions with them. Bikini beach is 5 min walking. They have also a great cook.

“Amazing stay”

Everything. We stayed for 4 nights in September. The hotel is very pretty, rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms are cleaned daily. Nice and quiet, easy to walk around the island. We got a lift to and from the harbour with our big bags. We were welcomed to the hotel with coconut drinks. We used the dive centre recommended by the hotel (Mantastic Divers) and were very happy with them. We also organised a manta snorkelling trip, and 2 point snorkelling with sandbank excursion through the hotel. Both of these were great. Prices were very good and we saw 50+ mantas and a whale shark! The snokelling points and sandbank were also beautiful. There are free bottles of water in the fridge plus tea and coffee all day. Breakfast was tasty with a wide selection. If you are doing excursions or have early flight/boat they were happy to provide breakfast earlier. There is a roof terrace to dry clothes and a washing machine for use, if required. The owners and all the staff were kind and helpful. We would definitely stay again if visiting Dharavandhoo.

I had an amazing stay at this property. The place is very spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped, yet still offers a high level of privacy and peace. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious – thoughtfully prepared to suit my vegetarian diet. Both the owner and the person taking care of the property were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. Their warm and welcoming attitude truly made me feel at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, privacy, and outstanding hospitality.

“A perfect place on a wonderful island”

Everything! We got a nice welcome coconut drink on their outdoor terrace. The owner Ahmed and the whole staff are amazing, they always went out of the way to make our stay perfect, they organized our trips with their boat, they made sure we were the first to come to the spot where the mantas and the whale sharks were and also to the sand bank. We could rent a Gopro and got the videos. We could use the washing machine for free as much as we needed and dry the laundry on their roof terrace. Breakfast was delicious and plenty, also different almost every day, a great combination of Maldivian and western foods, including peanut butter and chocolate spread! They offer complimentary tea and cofee 24 hours, and you can take water bottles from the fridge any time. The room and the ensuite bathroom are spacious and spotlessly clean, it's cleaned every day. The place is small and feels homely. We felt treated like family. If we could, we would rate the guesthouse 15 out of 10! We recommend the place 100% ! Thank you for your amazing work!

“A little slice of the luxury Maldives experience at budget-friendly rates”

Beautiful and peaceful spot which is very well cared for place by the family who runs it. My baggage didn't arrive with me and they were exceptionally helpful in getting it sorted for me, by calling the airline and tracking it down. They were always very responsive and helpful. I arrived on my birthday and they prepared a couple of little birthday treats for me which was much appreciated. The meals are served in the lush garden. Everything is prepared with great care and the wait staff are gentle and welcoming. Overall it was a little slice of the luxury Maldives experience, without the high ticket prices of the Maldives.

Ahmed, the owner, was the perfect host, providing a very warm welcome and always on hand to answer questions. The other staff were also excellent. The bedroom was lovely, the bed was comfy and the buffet breakfasts were great..

The staff were all super friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. They were so kind taking us out on their boat to see the mantas and trying to see the whale sharks. The breakfast was also delicious. They let us borrow snorkelling equipment for swimming off the beach. They also helped us arrange the speedboats and met us from the jetty and gave us a tour of the island which was lovely.

“Amazing!”

We had a wonderful days on the island thanks to Ahmed and his team. Ahmed met us at the airport, shared information about the island and showed us where everything was. The room was large, everything was clean. The breakfasts were excellent. Ahmed organised several tours for us at very nice prices. Everything was incredible. We swam with mantas, sharks, rays and even went night snorkelling with a whale shark. We recommend staying at this guest house, you will be very satisfied. We will definitely come back!

The staff were friendly and helpful.The food for breakfast was a mixture of local Madivian food and western food- all very delicious and well presented.I especially liked the Maldivian Tuna salad. Ahmed the owner, went over and above his duty of just running the accommodation .He personally took on the responsibilty of taking his guests out in his boat to find mantas.

Very good hotel! The owner of the hotel is very hospitable, always ready to help and resolve any issues. They clean it every day, everything is clean and fresh, my child and I are very happy, we recommend it for a holiday!

Exceptionally friendly, caring staff. We took into account all the wishes and even more. They found us on the beach to warn us about the postponement of the flight to an earlier time. Clean cozy hotel, good food, 5 min walk to the beach.

“I want to stay again when I visit this island.”

I could receive the box of sandwiches and banana for breakfast before diving early in the morning. I could save my lunch everyday. Also I could use hot shower and they provide beach towel and normal use. Air conditioning worked well perfect 24h.

Ahmed the host was friendly, patient and professional. He provides snorkeling activities but not pushy at all. we are well taken care of and we are satisfied with the dinner as delicious local foods were served.
