“Beautiful Sri Lankan family experience.”

The location was just a 10 minute walk from the local bus station, a tuk tuk could be organised if required. Expect to pay around 2000rp from Deniyaya. The beautiful family greeted me with much kindness and a cup of fresh local tea. The view is superb from the house, looking right over the river into the misty green hills beyond. I organised a night and day tour of the surrounding forest through the hostel. My guide Anura was very knowledgeable and friendly. Leech socks were supplied by the family and Anura added salt for extra protection. Large portions of delicious home cooked local food were served for breakfast lunch and dinner. I highly recommend it. If you don't want spicy this is easily achieved, communication was easy as good English was spoken. Big room, comfortable bed and clean. Highly recommend staying here for a authentic Sri Lankan home stay style experience.

Location is perfect, 10 min walking distance from the forest gate, it'a right next to a river in a very peaceful place, the owners are very kind and friendly, the room is very big, bright, clean and the bed is huge. The breakfast is Sri Lankan style but it definitely makes you full. highly recommended!

The river view from the terrace is the only positive thing. But the place is bad and not worthy. Avoid. There are a lot of better options for the same price around.

very friendly hosts, huge portions of rice and curry good value for money. Rainforest entrance is in proximity and the hosts organized a guided tour for us which was exceptional. If we booked again we would opt for 2 nights instead of 3.

Fantastic veranda overlooking river and really authentic rural experience. no bells and whistles. Owners very helpful with fantastic guide food and parceled up breakfast for the road!
