Lovely couple run the accommodation who are very helpful. It’s very close to the rainforest and they can arrange a guide for you.

Such a great stay at Rainforest River Edge! For someone on a budget, you get a clean, comfy room with all the amenities--even a bottle of water. The space overlooks a river, and the garden is full of birds. The lovely family running it was SO attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, including tasty home-cooked meals. Peaceful, budget-friendly, and surrounded by nature--highly recommend!

So kind and friendly owners, clean and comfy rooms and tasty food. Owners even arranged a guide to Sinharaja forest for us and it was also amazing. .

the family was so nice, kind and helpfull! they organized everything for us like guide for visiting the nearby nationalpark and driver for our further journey ...the owner even give us a tuktukride to show us a beautifull spot for swimming in the river we felt very welcome and at home breakfast and other dishes were delicious too the familystay is welllocated near the entrance of the park

The location is perfect

The property is a short walk to the world heritage site situated right on the edge of a river.that you can hear running as you sit and enjoy meals on the terrace. The hosts were absolutely lovely. Organised a guided days walk in the reserve and cooked all of our meals. The food was delicious hearty home cooked food. The couple have two adorable children. Our stay was very peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The host family were incredibly lovely and helpful. They organised a tour of Sinharaja rainforest for us with a knowledgable local guide. We picked this accommodation for the ease of organising a walking tour and it was brilliant: The location is great - a short walk from the main village if you’re getting a bus and a short walk to the start of Sinharaja rainforest. You have a lovely view from the house over the river and across the trees and the place is teeming with wildlife which you can enjoy from the porch outside the room! The hosts prepare delicious food accommodating breakfast, lunch and dinner for meat eaters and vegetarians- they even have a menu you can choose from. We had tasty rice and curry both nights. They provided lots of drinking water too. The room is modest but spacious and has everything you need. It also has a telly with lots of channels.

The owners are very kind and welcoming. They can help you to arrange hiking in the forest with a great and passionate guide. You can ask for breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the guest house. The three dinners I took were exceptional, especially the grilled chicken with the vegetables. The place is clean and quiet, it's easy to sleep, you have a Mosquito net for the bed.

The location is an excellent place to start the trip to the forest and the hosts super friendly. Food was delicious. Very much appreciated the quietness during my stay. The guide the family organised for my trip to the rainforest had outstanding knowledge about all plants, animals and great humour. Highly recommend the accommodation and the tour guide.

I definitely recommend this place for a full jungle experience in the best conditions. The accomodation and the staff are great .you can also go for a jungle track with a guide who will show you meny animals species'.foods are delicious.
