“Superb location and great host”

Absolutely spectacular location and spacious house with nice terrace. Also, the host was super helpful with organising everything from transport to tours. Homemade food was a nice addition.

“Quiet paradise getaway”

Serene, quiet and beautiful. You can relax and unwind as monkeys jump fr tree to tree, you can relax with your feet in the clean river as fish swim by and the pool is perfect to dip in to cool down. Easy access to Sinharaja and the host goes out of his way to make you welcome. He helped with bags and also prepared some amazing food for breakfast/ dinner. A truly wonderful place to stay to relax and unwind.

“Fabulous, magical place to stay.”

We loved our stay at Rainforest Cabin! It was full of pleasure and adventure! Ravindra is the perfect host and his mother’s home-made meals are delicious and plentiful! Ravindra arranged our guide in the Singahara Park, who showed us the special flora and fauna of the rainforest and guided us to a divine waterfall where we had a refreshing swim. Ravindra then took us on a night walk through the local forest. The cabin is very comfortable and clean. It even has a mini fridge with beers and treats! The highlight of our stay was a swim in the quiet river just below the cabin…delightful. Thank you Ravindra for a lovely stay!

“Wonderful cabin”

The environment is unique, near to a tea garden, natural swimming pool with fishes, monkeys and peacock around. The breakfast is delicious, with generous fruits. Staffs are friendly,they help us for luggages.

“The dream”

This place is pure magic. The location is in the middle of rainforest and tea plantations. Wildlife surrounds the cabin, you can swim in the river and the fish will give you a fish spa. Ravindra, the host does everything with so much care and is very accomodating. His mother makes the meals which are absolutely sublime Sri Lankan, and for us vegan. They made us lunch the last day and let us stay a bit longer, arranged a tour in the rainforest and a taxi back to the coast. Truly everything was perfect. Couldn't have asked for more.

Magical. Amazing views, amazing food. The fireflies at night, the wildlife around the cabin, ... we had such a good time. Hidden gem. Ravindra was a great host.

“A huge WOW! A truly special stay in the heart of the jungle”

This was a truly special stay that we will remember with great warmth and a huge "WOW." First, the host is incredible—I have never met anyone with such genuine hospitality, helpfulness, and a constant smile. He took care of everything for us, organizing a rainforest tour with a guide and an impressive night walk to see the wildlife. He also took great care of our meals; delicious home-cooked food was brought directly to our cabin’s terrace, which made the experience even more magical. Second, the location is simply amazing. The cabin is right inside the jungle, immersed in nature sounds and wildlife. Waking up to the morning mist, birds, monkeys, and lizards was unforgettable. We were genuinely sad to leave. Highest recommendations!

“Fabulous stay in Sinharaja!”

Wow, where to start?! We had the most incredible couple of nights at the Rainforest Cabin with the wonderful Ravindra as our amazing host! We stayed in the brand new cabin as a family of four with our grown-up children. The building is fabulous and Ravindra designed the whole thing himself! First of all, I have to mention the wonderful journey to reach the cabin....a small tuk tuk ride with Ravindra, followed by a small river crossing, a short stroll through jungle and a tea plantation, then another river crossing! You are then rewarded with this fabulous Sinharajan hidden gem! The cabin is modern with lovely bedding, fans and hot water. There is an outside area where you eat all meals, lovingly prepared by Ravindra's mum who is a fabulous cook! There is also a lovely natural plunge pool (filled with water fresh from the mountains). Ravindra organised an early morning bird spotting trip to Sinharaja which was really special, especially eating breakfast (wrapped up by Ravindra's Mum) after a dip at one of the waterfalls in the forest! Note, bring cash if you want to go to the Rainforest. We spotted all sorts of animals whilst at the cabin - an eagle, giant squirrels, monkeys, a kingfisher and had a natural massage swim with nibbling fish in the river! Ravindra is an absolute powerhouse and works so hard to make everything tick. Really hope to return. Highly highly recommend

Hery tranquil place in nature, had to cross two rivers with our luggage to reach, the food was great and the host very kind.

This is a hidden gem for sure. All by yourself in the jungle. Beautifull Cabin with a Nice outside area with a roof. A river perfect for swimming on your doorstep. An extremely friendly host who provides you with delicious meals 3 times a day. He can also arrange different rainforest tours for you. For us this was a 10/10 experience!!

“Real find for natural lovers”

We had a wonderful time and it was a great adventure too:) When we arrived at the parking spot, Ravi gave us a lift in his TukTuk all the way up to the little river crossing - it was nice to cool down a bit in the river before reaching the cabin. Ravi’s Mum did all the cooking for us (and she is an amazing cook!), which Ravi delivered to our porch :) He has also arranged guided trips to the park for us and in general was incredibly helpful and kind:) We had a fantastic time! Thank you Ravi and the family.

“Relaxing cute cabin nestled in nature”

Beautiful location, lovely host, clean cabin nestled in the rainforest. Stroll to the river or walk through the tea plantation right outside your door step. Would love to come back!

“Perfect stay at the perfect place”

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka! The hut is very idyllic, surrounded by beautiful nature – a perfect place to relax and recharge. The communication before arrival was excellent, and thanks to Ravindra’s directions we found the hut easily, even though it’s a bit tucked away. He also organized a wonderful rainforest tour and helped with our onward transport. The breakfast was great, and we also had the chance to enjoy a delicious dinner. Ravindra was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay – really the best host we had. Thank you so much for everything!

This was a magical experience being in a peaceful rainforest, next to a river, surrounded by wild nature and the perfect service from Ravinre who always met us with a big smile and kind heart. We will definitely go back next year.
