The greatest advantage of the Delray Breakers is its location. Right on a splendid beach away from the crowd. It’s very laid back, casual, they want to maintain the atmosphere of Florida in the 1950´s. It’s an ideal place to relax and enjoy long walks on the beach, their pool, the lounge chairs and parasols on the beach. We were there 10!years ago. The small bungalows have been renovated up to a point, new chairs on the beach and around the pool, well kept gardens and putting green. A fresh coat of paint on all the exterior walls of the small units. Inside them units, a mix of old and really old with a few modern items. The breakfast they serve is for pick up at their small library room with bottles of water, juices, coffee, tea, danishes, bagels, health bars and sometimes oranges. They have one Laundry and one dryer machines a bit rusty but still working , free for the guests’ use. An ice machine and Coke machine. Some people rent for a whole month year after year. You can bring your dog to the Delray Breakers which is a big plus. If you find the rooms third class, and the price not in Lign with that, no one could blame you but the place is so relaxing and ideal to recharge one’s battery without chichi- read, walk, swim. To walk to Atlantic Avenue where the action is in Delray is rather far but some new restaurants and stores can be walked to from the Breakers over the Linton Bridge. We probably will go back there as we really enjoyed it. Each unit has a small front patio with two chairs and a table and to lounge chairs

“It was lovely. We had great weather and the hotel was just what we needed.”

We had a mini family reunion and our rooms were side by side, near the pool, and not far from the beach. The kitchen was a bonus as we brought food to cook. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and shower were fine. I realize the building is an older one, but I was very happy with the entire apartment.

Walk distance to beach and stores. Coffee and water supply every day

“It was a perfect beach getaway!”

The proximity to the ocean was perfection. Glorious sunrises just outside our front door every morning. The very short walk to a beautiful, private sandy beach with large umbrellas and comfy lounge chairs was so convenient. The views were stunning! We took daily beach walks, and swam in the ocean and the heated pool everyday. Every staff member was polite, friendly and very efficient and accommodating. The people we met there, many of whom have been coming for years, were all so lovely. The place had that Old Florida charm and character. Our apartment was comfortable, clean and had most of what we needed. The continental breakfast was simple but met our needs quite well. The coffee which was readily available all day was actually so delicious! We used our patio every day for breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks. We had a wonderful time exploring nearby restaurants and shops. We really can't say anything negative. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

beach access was excellent, local facilities shops etc was very good and visitor attractions together with sports facilities also good

The location is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable, right on the sand, tents and chairs to relax on the beach, and the breakfast is good.

The mattress and pillows were very soft and comfortable. The beach is a stone’s throw away, very pleasant! Free parking! Free water and juices in the breakfast room.

Comfortable and quiet, appreciated being able to bring our service dog. Good, adequate breakfast, nice coffee and cosy lounge. Also liked that we could do laundry.

The best choice for a relaxing holiday. Wonderful location, large apartment right on the beach. Breakfast buffet as an attitude to an individually composed breakfast. A small, but clean and pleasant swimming pool, golf course, communal grill and all-day access to hot and cold drinks made us feel like in an all inclusive resort. In addition, the possibility of free use of the washing machine and dryer, ice maker and unlimited fresh pool towels - a great thing. I highly recommend it to all those who expect wonderful relaxation - not necessarily glamor. Despite the fact that the center is already old and it could use some renovation - it still has everything that makes the stay in it fantastic.

My wife and I had a great time, the location was great, and our room was clean large and only steps away from the beach with an ocean view. I can't say enough about the food in the area, Atlantic ave restaurant's are amazing. We also found a hidden gem called Peanut island. I have been to most of the Caribbean Islands and the Florida keys, and I have to say peanut Island could pass as a Caribbean island. with it's white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue water with lots of tropical marine life. If you can't get to the Caribbean or the Florida keys, Peanut island will give you the same exciting experience. you can only get there by boat or kayak, the shuttle is only $16 per person round trip and well worth it. here is one more place you must experience that is about a 15 minute ride to Boca, the best Italian deli I have ever been to. http://jimmycdeli.com/ do yourself as favor and try this place out, We had lunch there three days in a row. Arrived after hours everything waiting for us. Room Service was excellent. Can't beat the beach. Checked out before office opened and just left keys. So I am unable to rate the office

Everything was satisfying. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The close walk to the beach was more than we expected. Accomodations we're great.

Easy to access nice beach. Breakfast was good.

The location on the beach, the staff made sure the room was cleaned and towels replaced everyday. The complimentary laundry enabled me to pack with minimal amount of dirty clothes.
