“What a delightful spot with delightful hosts. We were sorry to have to leave.”

The location was superb. The view onto Walker Bay is an absolute treasure. Once could have sat and stared out all day! The accommodation itself was fresh and bright. It was excellent to be able to come and go, to manage our own washing, to visit local spots as well as to have the choice, too, of a quiet day/night in.

“Apartment with magnificent view…”

We are family of 4 with two teenagers who stayed at Whaletale for a week. Tim and Lesley are wonderful hosts who know the surrounding area very well providing us with useful information on what to see and do in the area. WhaleTale is ideally located to explore the Overberg region and is situated on the edge of the Walker Bay reserve with its many caves and unspoilt nature - we were lucky to spot 3 Cape Clawless Otters on an early morning walk. We were greeted with a very generous welcome pack which included a bottle of wine and Christmas cake as we were staying over Christmas. The apartment is fully equiped with every thing you need and includes a generous covered porch (stoep) and an enclosed braai area at the back. The greatest feature of the apartment is the magnificent 180 degree view of Walker Bay which can be enjoyed from the stoep or any of the rooms.

Breathtaking views. Great hosts gave us great tips for outings and restaurants. The beds were SO comfy.

WhaleTale has the most spectacular & panoramic view! We were able to watch the whales from our apartment and bedroom. The apartment is incredibly well equipped, tastefully decorated and immaculate maintained. Tim & Lesley you are the ultimate hosts and thank you for all the little spoils. We will be back!

“Magnificent views - perfect for a relaxing weekend filled with whale watching”

Great location to watch the whales from the lounge and patio. The apartment is well kitted out with all the necessary cutlery and crockery you need for a self catering getaway. We also received a complimentary bottle of wine and snacks on arrival

What a gem! Perfect views from the balcony and frequent sightings of whales in the bay. Would always come again and highly recommend if you’re looking for a few quiet days by the sea!

Best location especially this time of year where the whales come out to play right outside our window!

We loved everything about this property. The location was incredible, right next to the sea where we watched whales breaching close to shore through the day. The apartment itself was immaculate fully kitted out with all the items and equipment that you could possible need. Finally - Tim and Lesley were fantastic hosts. “Fabulous views and 5-star hosts”

We literally have no idea how we’d improve it. The view is mesmerising and walking to Walker’s Beach was something special. Tim and Lesley make sure that everyone has a great experience. Lots to sea in the surrounding area. We could have easily stayed for much longer and the apartment is well equipped, even with local coffee, fresh milk and cookies. Thank you!!!

Everything was excellent, as always! On top of the great apartment and communication with the host, we were lucky and got to watch a couple of whales frolic right in front of the apartment for over an hour, even though it was quite late in the whale season.
