“Idyllic retreat”

The property is idyllic. We even had a kookaburra come and eat dinner with us. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the lounge and terrace had enough seating for our group. The gardens are beautifully laid out and maintained. The kitchen appliances worked well. The only sad part of our stay and something to be wary of was one of our party caught her foot under the chunky hall mat and it rolled up, tripping her and in the process of falling, she dislocated her shoulder. The nearest hospital with X-ray is in Ballarat. Other than this incident (which happened in our arrival), we can throughly recommend The Carlisle.

By far one of the most beautiful property our family has stayed at. Large and spacious house, beds were so comfortable, less than 5 mins drive to town. It has everything you need!

It was a lovely house with beautiful views out the back and a lovely maze garden out the front. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of room and a nice big dining table. It was very homely. Room for 3 cars to park. Would definitely go back.

The property was very clean and in good condition. It was also styled very tastefully. The staff had the property really warm and it was a very appreciated as we arrived later in the afternoon and it was freezing outside.
