Good location, quiet, private, great introduction by owner.

The property is so cute and cosy. It is close to everything. I enjoyed relaxing on the massage chair and sitting out the front on the couch in front of the flowers and plants for hours on end. It was such a relaxing place to visit and so quiet. The wombat botanical gardens is literally down the road where you can get breakfast and lunch and buy the best bread around. It was five min drive from the jubilee lake where I enjoyed a swim on the hot days. The host Ky was also incredibly helpful, met me on arrival and shared so many places to visit and allowed a later checkout on my last day. Oh and there were chocolates and a bottle of wine to enjoy too!

“Home away from home”

Ky was such an amazing host, he gave us plenty of suggestions and ideas on what we could do while we stayed in town! Super accomodating and even organised an early check in for us, the house was super lovely, felt like a home away from home. Neighbourhood was lovely as well, Daylesford is definitely on our list to return back to! Thank you so much again!!

We avoid cute cottages with lots of ornaments and furniture and prefer contemporary decor having experienced very poor climate controlled drafty places around Victoria so Abelia was chosen for value for money in this instance but is fine for heating and amenities and a real bonus is the supply of condiments and extras which really help with stays of more than a night or two even if relying on takeaways its good to have and or if you dont want to go out and rustle up what you can with what you have brought. We didnt try the massage chairs but expect others would love them.

Comfortable and clean and cosy cottage with everything that you could ask for. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and given abundance of information on places to eat and see. Massage chairs were a treat, and beds were comfy. Cottage is so pretty and peaceful, Thanks Ty we enjoyed our short stay. I would definitely recommend the cottage to others. Be back again in the future.

My magical stays at Abelia Cottage BOTANICAL, so so quiet & relaxing. We just booked again because each time was fantastic with excellent facilities including kitchen, great heating and spacious, the cottage is close to the Township and restaurants and a has a lovely outlook with a beautiful garden. It definitely became my home away from home! 3rd visit in the last year ! Wanda Swiech 20/9/24

“Brilliant will stay again “ We stayed at Abelia Cottage Botanical and it had everything we needed. It was a quiet, spacious little cottage with great surroundings . Our stay here was really comfortable with good beds, plenty of bedding for colder nights and a good heater which warmed the whole place. We had plenty of equipment to make meals if required. I would happily stay here again and the owner Ky did everything possible to fit in with our needs, including being flexible with check in/out times. Ky was a most accommodating owner which is what we expect as part of country hospitality. We do a lot of travelling & Ky is up there as one of the best. Thank you again Ky. JASMIN august 2024

We enjoyed our stay in your lovely miners' cottage. - quiet comfortable, warm & inviting. We have stayed in numerous properties in Daylesford. A favorite destination over many years. ABELIA COTTAGE has to be rated in best 4 out of the 15 in that time. KY met us on arrival and showed us the cottage & where to return the keys on check out. Our every need was catered for, so warm & cozy! The extra touches were much appreciated. We plan to stay again later in the year. Thanks again KARMAN & JULIE 221/8/2024

Easy walking distance to town, owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, lovely atmosphere, quiet and peaceful, well presented and great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city

There was no breakfast provided , there were condiments in the fridge which half were out of date . I wouldn’t have wanted to cook there , because of the general un cleanliness

Didn’t want for a thing. Had everything you need and then some. Close to town. Hosts communication was great.

Great place to stay. Ky, our friendly and informative host, greeted us with a magnificent hamper containing local produced and a bottle of wine. The cottage was so comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the giant TV. Which you could see from the recliners or the fantastic massage chairs. The cottage was spotless, and the air conditioner was appreciated throughout the heat wave. Comfortable beds and large variety of books to peruse. Hope to be back again soon
