We booked at the last minute during a festival. The town was packed. We had just returned from a 10 day camping trip and wanted to relax. Even with the bustle in town, the hotel was quiet and clean. The laundry was excellent and the staff friendly and professional

“Four Gryphons on a Northern Tour..”
The rooms were small but well equipped. We were not in the rooms much only to sleep. The beds and pillows were fantastic.

Brilliant stay. Super value. Massive room. A tad chilly due to leaky windows and the size of the room but we cuddled up in bed! Thanks to all the staff there. A very memorable stay.

“was pleasant, clean and restful”
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's sort of a unique experience, the layout is multiple separate buildings, interesting. Sort of dated as far as furniture goes but I think thats the whole point/decore. I liked it, it was clean and nice, everything worked well and was what we needed after a few days on the road and camping. Even though the room was right on the corner near the entrance and a road, it was quiet.
