Perfect place to stay at and dive with. Staying at bongo bongo made it so easy, even just for one day of diving. The faculties are all top notch and everyone is so nice. No complaints

Really great and cozy place! The value for money was excellent and the staff was very friendly. They serve breakfast, snacks and lunch on site and offer multiple dives per day - everything was absolutely brilliant!

I stayed in a new room with private bathroom, upstairs. Comfortable bed, split air conditioner, roller blind, great shower, shampoo, body soap. Tiny but cozy. And cheap. The pool is beautiful at night. I read it is a good dive center, you can do shore dives and Apo Island trip with good prices. I did with Liquid because they haven't the trip available the day I wanted. You can have breakfast (granola with yogurt and fruits was great 300PHP) and lunch at Bongo Bongo. It's near a great restaurant for dinner called Jardim. If you need a tricycle call Lito 63 905 649 7281. From Dauin to Dumaguete ferry 600PHP.

The location is great. The accommodation (apart from the old dorms and their bathroom) is very beautiful. The food is good.

The diving schedule is very convenient, customer service was extraordinary and the dive school itself makes a clean and well organised impression Staff has been amazing, very friendly and service was fast The food options are various and the food itself is very good There is a feidge from which you can take drinks at any time which makes it even more convenient The rooms are clean and spacious enough Outside area with the pool was very nice Warm water in the shower, water pressure was very good Option to rent a scooter

“Excellent hotel, hostel and dive shop!”

As an enthuisiastic diver, Bongo Bongo runs an excellent, well equipped dive shop with lovely guides. I booked a private room, which was very spacious, spotlessly clean and modern. Hotel staff were wonderful. Breakfast was a-la-carte but the quality was great. Location close to the beach was lovely. Note though, Dauin is a sleepy town and not too many tourists, so a great place to come for a quiet stay, relax and unwind (which is exactly what I wanted, and loved it) but be aware that amenities outside the hotel are thus sparse and although lovely is not a "beach" destination as such (as of 2026).

Diving operations at the best! They schedule 4-5 dives daily in small groups and very experienced guides. You will have enough time to spot nudis ad other tiny critters and take your pictures. Special thanks to Tito and the managment team!

“Amazing for divers”

The staff at Bongo Bongo is absolutely amazing. Everyone is super kind and the dive masters (specifically Jong) are amazing and such great spotters for macro during dives. They really take the time to ensure you have amazing dives. There is no restaurant for food on site, but there are various menus of restaurants where the staff will order for you and on Mondays you can sign up for communal diner. I stayed at one of the new rooms and the room was super comfortable as well.

Diving operation was well set-up and the dive staff and dive team ensured you were well looked after. The new rooms are really nice shame about the ongoing construction activities outside.

The pool and the outdoor seating area / bar is lovely - a great space to chill out. We did the Apo island diving trip with Bongo Bongo and had a great day out - ps. the lunch on the boat is AMAZING!
