“A dreamy stay in a traditional feel hotel”

I loved everything about this hotel. So glad I picked it so beautiful and loved the whole traditional look and feel. Got upgraded to a bigger room and all the staff was lovely. Breakfast was great and wished my stay was for longer. The hotel is an experience in itself. Location was perfect and quiet and the wine room and little museum was just unexpected. Very elegantly done. The decor at reception area was just gorgeous, tastefully done. The fruit and nibblies basket and toiletrie pack were nice touches. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

“Perfect stay”

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel in Datong, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The location is great, close enough to all the main sights to make getting around easy, but still quiet enough to feel like a relaxing escape after a busy day. What I appreciated most was how kind and welcoming the staff were. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile, which made the whole stay feel very comfortable and easy. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of room to relax. It was clean, well laid out, and had everything I needed to feel at home. The bathroom amenities really stood out to me. There was a wide variety provided, and in generous quantities too, not just the basics, but lots of thoughtful extras. It was clear the hotel pays attention to the little details, which made a big difference. One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the traditional garden. It had such a calm and peaceful atmosphere, and it was the perfect place to slow down and unwind. Spending time there felt very special and added a unique charm to the whole experience. Overall, I had a fantastic stay. Between the convenient location, the genuinely kind staff, the comfortable and spacious room, the well-stocked amenities, and the relaxing garden, it’s a place I would happily come back to.

Best location for most inner city sites. The room is spotless and the staff are really friendly and thoughtful. They arrange pick up from the nearest spot. Its just a stone's away from the main street. It feels like you're home. They take care of all your needs and qs.

“Magical place in the center of town.”

The place is magical and we got exactly what was advertised. It was very quiet although it is in the middle of town. The stuff was very friendly. Breakfast was exceptional and you definitely get enough to last you through the day.

Location was the best, the hotel is renovated is extremely clean, you feel welcomed like home! Definitely recommend for visiting Datong. Staff speaks English and is very friendly and helpful!

“Peaceful, tranquil and cleanest place”

Peaceful and quiet, the owners were lovely, and you could tell they kept pride in their place. The meals were great especially the noodles. Enjoyed breakfast which was a mix of sweet potatoes, vegetables, dumplings, sausage. The area had plenty of food around it and a short walk to the wall and ancient drum. Found out by guide the whole town is a replica made a decade ago, even the wall.

Location is excellent. The property is well renovated.

I fell in love with this hotel. It has a gentle, old-world charm that makes you feel like you're in a classic movie. The bedrooms are exquisitely furnished, the courtyards are beautiful and despite the attractions of Datong I spent hours just sitting in the courtyards enjoying the atmosphere. The location is perfectly central in this interesting city where there's much to see. The breakfast is without doubt the most eclectic I've ever been served, but there was much to enjoy. So many small welcoming touches. I was so sad to leave!

“Beautiful courtyard hotel in the centre of Datong old town”

The location was excellent, right in the centre of Datong old town. The hotel is traditional style with the rooms located around a beautiful courtyard. We had been worried that it might be less comfortable than a modern hotel but this wasn't the case at all, the room was great and it was all spotlessly clean. We came with our two children (2 and a half and three months) and the hotel was very family friendly. The cot provided was good quality.
